I for one will miss being paired with the F/A's for an entire trip. Over the years I have made many good friends. Not to mention the enhanced crew communication from being on a first name basis with so many co-workers.

I couldn't agree with you more.

If you liked that, you'll love Fed Ex's take on Darwin's theory of evolution and Natural Selection.

Thanks snap; that ad was a good chuckle. ;) Thank God we can at least laugh here at times, even as this sorry mess eventually hashes itself out.

"...there will be no way in hell that our FO's will be doing that for them."...? Most impressive!!! Well....THAT will sure 'nuff show them just what macho "spartans" "you'se" guys beez! A true class act. You truly did flunk out on any and all aspects of the "Officer and Gentleman" bit. No matter, I suppose....What else should I have expected from you?

I have always suspected that the company has instigators on this board posing as employees in order to sow discontent and hatred as a wedge between employees.... No doubt there is a propensity for division already and it only take a little leaven to leaven the whole lump.

Ames almost looks like a West pilot, but his feigned over the top hatred of all employees, including the FAs... Not believable.. The FAs serve the pilots drinks. Only complete idiots would invite them to spit in the cup before pouring the coke.

Serious question. i make that distinction because I hammer your posts so much. Does the Jones letter have any relevance today? Doesn't the MOU supersede that whole path we were on before? AOL mentions that change in it's recent update.

And you refer to Silver and her ruling. Well, she upheld YOUR argument that the Nic lived in the TA and the USAPA inherited it. Well, the TA is put to pasture. Does that not change things?
The only thing that changes is the companies Hobson choice argument. With an MOU there is no more section 6 therefore no chance of a work action. Now the only fear the company has is litigation from the west not using the Nicolau.

Judge Silver mis understood that usapa could negotiate unequal benefits in a contract to offset seniority. With a contract in place seniority is the only thing left. The ninth said that the west has to get a seniority list equal to the Nicolau. Silver said usapa could use something other than the nicoalu if as long as it does not violate DFR and they have an LUP. Usapa has not come close to being equal.

The MOU does not change that.

Getting an MOU combines the east and west. The company has a list combined seniority list. Usapa can't just invent a list. The only way usapa gets out of DFR is if the west agrees. We do not.

Yes the Jones letter is still valid because the company still has liability. Judge Silvers ruling still stands leaving the company to decide if usapa's LUP is legitimate. Not something they want to do.

The only choice the company has is using the Nicolau.

I think it does. Didn't Parker and Kirby allude to, if not say flat out, that this merger is giving US Airways an opportunity to clean the slate in regards to the pilot wars?
In your opinion a DOH list would clean up the mess.

The letter Jones sent to the NMB says a DOH list would cause the company liability and delay a contract.

Does that sound like it cleans up the pilot mess in the companies opinion?

Not using the Nicolau is a sure law suit from the west does that clean up the pilot mess?

They asked and were denied. Didn't go to court. Didn't take a tantrum.

East pilots asked for DOH. They were denied.

East pilots demanded DOH. They were denied.

Arbitrator told east pilots to move off DOH. He was denied.

Arbitrator denies DOH.

East pilots throw six year tantrum.

East pilots soon to be again denied.

Very different to how west FA's behaved.

....but you keep playing with that "google thingy"

There's that impressive westie AFO logic/integrity again.

NYC said:

"The west flight attendants tried unsuccessfully to get the AFA to change their merger rules so they could be slotted with the east.

Must be something in the water out there."

You said:

"Total fabrication. Must be something in the water out east. "

I show you that you are WRONG, and off you run into the bushes. Man, you guys are a trip. It's okay to be wrong, man up and admit it.

There has never been a requirement for the pilots to sign in the flight atttendants or make "trip sheets" for each member of the crew.

It's done as a simple professional courtesy, if you will. Much like them serving you on the flight deck.

The price of progress I suppose.

I agree, but it 's probably for the best. The west AF/Os will have the F/As so angry we probably won't want to spend more than a few legs with them.

East pilots should pay attention. Things aren't really going your way.

Company attorney clearly states company recognizes Nic.

In a APA update the president shuns DOH.

In our new MOU east gets PBS

FA's vote in a contract which ends pilot/FA co-pairings.

Oh, yeah, you east FO's should start teaching your FA's how to sign themselves into a hotel because when they start flying with west pilots there will be no way in hell that our FO's will be doing that for them.
Nor do we go to the same hotels. The F/A will actually have to find the van all by themselves.

More failed logic.

We have been flying with our F/A for years. Get along great and have many F/A friends but in your world the west pilots are going to make the east F/A angry.

Dude some of the east F/A I have met are already angry.

I think the east F/A will enjoy flying with the west pilots and once they know us will understand the BS you guys have been shoveling.

Wow! Words just fail me here.....little "Dude".

cleardirect: "Dude some of the east F/A I have met are already angry." How they wouldn't all be instantly charmed by you is impossible to even imagine. ;)

I just flew with a F/A that went west and returned to the east. She said that overall west pilots treated F/As as an annoyance and many were down right hostile and arrogant. She said that we treat our F/As much better. Her words, not mine.

Really, what's not to love?! (In the angry F/Os case. The vast majority of west guys have no issues with their co-workers I'm sure).

Indeed. I'm certain none ever have any issues of any kind, and really; how could any FA's ever misconstrue the following gems as even possibly being the thoughts of woefully immature, hostile and arrogant jackazzes?:

Ames: "Oh, yeah, you east FO's should start teaching your FA's how to sign themselves into a hotel because when they start flying with west pilots there will be no way in hell that our FO's will be doing that for them."

cleardirect: "The F/A will actually have to find the van all by themselves." What's not to love in such "gentlemen"? ;)

This merger will make the US /PIA merger look like a picnic---though I know one thing for sure------10,000 pilots at American WILL NOT
