DOH with conditions and restrictions to protect.......
You might want to ask the president of your next union how he feels about that.

DOH with conditions and restrictions to protect.......
Who cares about what some lawyer (yours, ours, or theirs) has to say in a letter? It's opinion, and slanted at that. He's entitled to his point of view, but it's not the end of anything.
The west flight attendants tried unsuccessfully to get the AFA to change their merger rules so they could be slotted with the east.
Must be something in the water out there.
From the West perspective...
The company attorney expressing the company's position. Significant.
Total fabrication. Must be something in the water out east.
Ames, I found this on that google thingy:
"Dear Board of Directors Member,
As a US Airways Flight Attendant I am writing to you requesting your support. When the Board of Directors convenes in October they will debate and possibly vote on an Agenda Item submitted by the America West MEC that seeks to change the current date of hire policy regarding seniority integration. "
Perhaps you should check before you pull "facts" out of you rusty memory, of from wherever you pull them.
Oh, yeah, you east FO's should start teaching your FA's how to sign themselves into a hotel because when they start flying with west pilots there will be no way in hell that our FO's will be doing that for them.
I agree with you. IMO, we need to look to the current paradigm to find that solution. Not the NIC but not straight DOH either...something that works for everyone and can be defended. There will be lawsuits in any case...that part is inevitable.I think the MOU puts everything back in play and simultaneously places everything at risk regarding the SLI. It is no doubt a re-do, to the chagrin of the west. At the same time it nixes DOH. We could end up with something resembling DOH or a reasonable facsimile of the Nic, or something in between.
The process carries undeniable risk - but I like it.
I don't respect him one darn bit. His award should go down as one of the biggest blunders in arbitration history.....and from the perspective of a respected arbitrator.
