Do FAs usually fly over the minimum monthly guarentee of 75 hours per month? If so how many hours does a FA usually fly during a given month?

don't count the chickens before they hatch in this industry. In 5 or 6 years I'll be making more money with healthy pay increases continuing every year after.
In the F/A profession, $16 bucks actually eguals to (on 40 hour work week) $6.50 an hour. Do you wanna quit now?Correct me if I'm wrong please, but didn't a first year F/A make over 16 bucks a hour with healthy pay increases year over year? I guess in comparision to my situation I might be better off quiting my tech-writer job and trying out for an F/A position. I agree I think they just dont want us to come over there so they made a shity offerDo you understand that they recalled all the furloughed f/a's for the 170's and only 250 bit? Do you really think that many will come over there for even less money than the MAA f/a's got? I really dought it..I guess we will all see. Its not that we do not want to go over, we would love to work wth you guys and gals..but, the offer stinks. It really is a slap in the face for what we have been through. I can say a hand full from MAA will take the bite..mostly junior f/a's . But, we will see.

Totally see what you are saying, I just keep telling myself that somewhere down the road something good will come to all of US (East and West) that feel like we are taking it up the behind. I know it sounds kind of stupid but everything happens for a reason. As with all other agreements, this ONLY benefits the senior flight attendants. As just stated the junior ones will suffer. Agree to a horrible transition agreement for the invols so it's easier for the more senior to transfer in when it's possible. Something is honestly not right with this deal. There is a reason for everything. Whether we find out about it NOW or a year down the road it will all come out in the wash as to why this agreement was reached. I would love to know the position of the US east union on this? How could they say yes to this? I think we are being shafted on both sides of the "New" US.

Don't blame the West, the East Union negotiated the transition agreement too with with the company.
We don't like it either since there's no fence. 1,000 of our junior f/as are going to be bumped and guess who get's the pink slip first once everybody gets recalled? The junior AWA flight attendants. It's a no win situation for both and the only ones that benefited are the senior f/as.

Shame on management for not trying harder to lessen the already building tension between the east and west f/a group.
That would require the FAA cooperating & working quickly--and I think we all KNOW that will NEVER happen!Understand logistics, differences, safety procedures, etc.,. Seems as though that's all a lot of tangled paperwork....eventually this is going to happen why not speed up the process with this new "transition agreement".
AGREED!!!!It has to be a record to be treated as a new hire three times by the same company. Well worse this time- new hires at any crappy backwoods puddle jumper provide a hotel room for training. This company can't even give it to employees with going on a decade of loyal service, and in MDA case, superior service! This company stinks. They will fail because they don't even treat thier employees like human beings, so what does that say about how they will treat customers?
