algflyr, ........Thanks, I haven't even seen one..... Have you flown in one yet ?

Fromwhat I have ben told, F/A's like the plane, passengers/customers like the plane, BUT they have LOTS of mechanicals. There seems to be some sort of cumputer glitch. Just what I have been told. Lots lof delays, cancellations, and folks getting stuck.

as for the ramp i can tell you that the ramp doesnt like it much. the cargo bins are the same as what the Fokker F-100 had. the loads are quite different than a normal plane--if pax count is over 40 then the baggage has to be a 75% in forward and 25% in back bin, kind of stinks because with the other planes--a-319s we can throw the zone bags in rear and locals in front

I think the plane is very nice. It is true about being a maintenance hog at times though. That is normal as every one gets used to it. It is a shame though that none of the employees make any money. Their choice though. I just find it pathetic.

Why post something like this in a thread about the EMB170? It has NOTHING to do with the topic. Why be a troll?

;) Saw it for the first time yesterday. It looks great inside and out. Guess I will always try for row 1 since it has about 3 feet of legroom. Only problem so far in our station, is that we can't get it off the gate on time to save our lives. Hopefully that will improve.

One of the problems of getting it off the gate on time, is the paper work (Weight and Balance) from the crew. What we have been doing, is getting the OF11E to C/S before we are done loading. It does seem to cut down on the delays.

hmm... I'd like to see that. Seems to me, if the pitch distribution results in a pitch benefit for row one, anyway, U should have put 1 row of first and be down one seat, just to be able to advertise it. Or is there something odd about a one row first class?

No less odd to me than two rows in a 757.

No kidding? This is a mainline aircraft and central load planning doesn't do the weight and balance and send it over via acars?

I'm very surprised. Paper weight and balance leaves far too much room for human error and, as you've already found out, delays.

Several so-called "regionals" are in the process of switching over to an automated system whether it be by onboard handheld computers or sent via acars from someone in dispatch.

USAirways Express Flight...............

No CLP, only a crew done Weight and Balance like all the other Express Flights.
I guess they didnt want to set up a CLP for MidAtlantic since the Aircraft DO have ACARS.
