I am sure you do have organizers from across the system. The whole drive is another distraction and a lost cause. False hope that another "union" can get us a heap of money and respect. When we should be focusing on getting a good contract we will be mired in vote if the drive even becomes legitimate. Think we are waiting a long time for a deal? You ain't seen nothing yet.

Keep acting undisciplined and immature. Want to be treated like a professional, act like one.

Don/Bob,

Again you use lies. Show me where AMP Organizers have ever said AMP would "get us a heap of money and respect". The entire premise behind AMP is the twu's FAILURE at having a democratic craft union. The twu int. has APPOINTED reps. who DO NOT take pay cuts when the membership does yet they have the stones to tell the AMTs to lower our expectations! AMP has term limits so there is accountability. ELECTED AMP National Officers return to the floor after 2 terms. By the way, when do we get to vote for twu international officers like Bobby "lower your expectations" Gless?

Focusing on a good contract? You mean like the failed t/a the twu peddled with colored flyers inserted in our ballots? Why would we be "mired"? The twu plan on parading another coffin around while the company includes dead people who are eligible to vote?

The fact is, the TWU saved more jobs at AA, then the other unions did at the other airlines.

I'm sick of listening to and reading posts from mechs complaining about how the TWU stole from them.

God made two types of TWU members .....FOOLS and IDIOTS?

I'm a fool, Duke? what are you? I thought so!

@buck

You tell all of us what is better, making over $30 an hour with benefits at AA, or looking for a job?

Based on the fact that not to many AA employees (pilots, FA's FSC's or AMT's)have left, I would say there are not to many jobs with this pay rate with benefits. If you know of better and are still working at AA, you are a fool.
This is not just about me. However would I have been making more earlier in my career had I not started as a B-Scaler? I was looking for a job and if necessary I would look for another.

By the way I earn more than $30 an hour plus benefits. Are you asking the negotiators to settle for $30/hour including benefits? So to answer your question, it is better to make $30 plus benefits.

What is your job title? Do you actually work with the people you are misrepresenting or do you spend your time at the union hall? Yes I am a fool, every time I fail to replace the TWU. Are there any machinists jobs in the local Tulsa area willing to pay the same as the craft and class of the A&P mechanic, plus the A&P's license premium? I do not have a problem with a machinist making more than the local Tulsa area machinists and receive pay for a "Journeyman's Certificate", I do have a problem with the machinist being paid above the local Tulsa pay scale at the expense of the younger mechanics or their craft and class that pays them for both their A and P license(s). Maybe you should be the one who revisits true unionism and stop being an IGMer. (I've got mine brother)

Ken I hope the TWU does not parade another coffin around, there are to many soldiers still coming home in body bags for the TWU to pull that stunt again. Maybe the TWU should use slogans on T-shirts to scare the company?

So you know of a job (that would hire you) that pays more then AA and has benefits, and you are staying at AA while complaining about AA and the TWU.

"Yes you are a fool"

You must be one those guys that when he can't give an argument, he throws out insults, that is a fine example of a union man, that really makes me want to consider signing an AMP card.

You complain about Gilboy, but yet you don't run against him, it sounds like all you do is complain.

Please do not compair God and working in a closed shop.

Irrelevant from the position that he does not have a vote. Retirees are important, that's why the TWU made sure we didn't go to BK and shaft our retirees like "full pay to the last day" union members at UA, NW, America West, US, and others. Pompous ass? Nice. So and your other "relevant" friends would rather have shafted people like MCI transplant? Nice. At least I am a pompous ass and not an IGM'er like you guys.

Geez, nice segue from from the Freudian slip there. IGM'er WTF. It's pretty clear that you already got yours. Now the goal is to keep the gravy train going by screwing the members......right? Just vote yes, you effing simps.

I'm an AMT at ORD, I'm not a union officer. I said over $30 plus benefits because I'm not sure what the exact pay rate at OH is. I have no idea what the job market/pay for a machinist is in TUL. If I was so unhappy with the TWU and AA I would find out what the job market is and move on if I found something better, you are at work at least 40 hours a week, why would you be some place you hate. I would not complain to anyone or on a forum, I would be proactive in changing my situation. Remember no one likes a whiner.

I'm not sure how I'm a IGM, I believe in a union, but I don't think we all deserve the same pay because we are part of the same union.

Hey, I want this guy negotiating for us! While you're at it, why don't you apply that same simple philosophy to every employee group at AA?

I did get mine and so did you. A defined benefit pension plan, healthcare, and a rate of pay significantly higher than the median income. Where else can you work with a flexible CS program, unlimited OT, and an internet cafe in every ready room? Did you enjoy your gravy? Mmmmm...tasty isn't it?

You called me a FOOL first. Now you are name calling.

And flexible pay rates condoned by the TWU!

No you said, "making over $30 an hour with benefits at AA
"

The pay rate for OH is $27.20 plus license(s) pay plus benefits.

If I was so unhappy with the TWU and AA I would find out what the job market is and move on if I found something better, you are at work at least 40 hours a week, why would you be some place you hate.

You see you cannot even distinguish between the TWU and AA. I never stated that I hate the company. Do not suggest that I give up my right to free speech, I would not ask this of you. IGM Brother? Do you believe that the line should receive more pay than OH?

Unlimited CS's, overtime, and playing on your computers, are nothing but carrots on a stick that the company/twu uses to keep us under their thumb. I apologize Overspeed for the lack of professionalism, and I will no longer be calling you names like bootlicker, dickweed, and jagoff. Totallly unprofessional, even if true.

I don't use insults....I call a spade a spade.

The fools in the TWU were FOOLED by the TWU in 2003, but are aware of the scams and schemes by INTL cronies rubbing elbows with management to bamboozle the people within the union in order to protect their own interests. The other type defends the actions of the TWU because you're sold on the idea that it's ok to sit at work and play with your laptop, provide very little output, and go to HR because someone calls a spade, a spade. Then, listens to the president of the local parade around and tell You and Me that "if I want a raise, go work at walmart", and "stop complaining because all you do is play with your laptop and make $33 an hour". Is that the union you feel proud of belonging to and are ready to defend???? Duke, how many local officers have taken positions within the INTL or Management? Let me name a few....Don Videtich local 565, Bob Gless local 562, Glen Harmon local 512, Don Hahn local 512, just to name a few. Any others???? What does that tell you about our great union?

You talk about the going rate for Machinists in the Tulsa area, as compared to what a TWU machinist pay rate? How about a Line AMT pay rate as compared to other Line AMT's.....SWA, UPS, Fed Ex? Why isn't the TWU fighting to get YOU and ME those rates???? I'll tell you why, and it's in the TWU slogan "A mechanic is a mechanic" whether it's an AMT, Plant, Auto, Facilities. That's the industrial way of thinking. It must also be your way of thinking because you're obviously content about your job, lower pay rate, and higher out-of-pocket expenses. Keep defending the TWU!!!!!

First of all, thank you for pointing out my spelling error.

Second of all, if you complain about AA and the TWU, while you know of a better paying job with benefits (that will hire you), and you stay at AA being miserable. You are a fool..........
