Dell,
did you read statement on the corp. page?
Never mind, I went to get a link for it and he has had that changed.
I know I read that a USAir employee will always be present to sign off on the work being done in Alabama. I Know I read it because when PittBull said there you go Dave, send out guys to Alabama to do the work like the flight attendents I said to someone hear in this room WHY NOT you already have employees there to watch and sign off.
Well interestingly enough I can know longer find that statement from Mr. Filipino or what ever his name is.
It still says guys are coming back for deicing. Yeah right seasonal work!! How happy they will be? But the sentence that would in my opinion would go up thier butt furthest is somehow gone. interesting to say the least.

An inspection supervisor from CLT was assigned to the Mobile facility. This guy is a stickler for details and is in no way a pushover. I say this because I once was an inspector under his supervision. Excellent choice!!!

It will be interesting to see how long he lasts over there if the farmout ever begins. I figure he will either overspeed, blow a gasket and be carted out of there or will request out of the assignment if that is even an option.

Pray that the judge makes the correct ruling......Pray hard!!

E-TRONS OUT.

Today, Oct. 16 starts the USA Board of Directors Meeting that runs tomorrow as well.

Wish I was a "fly on the wall". No "pun" intended to the poster, uhmm.

Latest update:

Dear Sisters and Brothers,
It has been a week since IAM attorneys argued before Judge Cindrich to defend our contract with US Airways, but a ruling has yet to be issued.
The court clerk’s office will advise us as soon as a decision is filed. That information will be immediately relayed to District and Local Lodge representatives and posted on the District 141-M web site.
As we wait for the Judge’s decision, maintenance work has begun on a US Airways Airbus aircraft at foreign-owned Singapore Technologies Mobile Aerospace Engineering in Alabama. Whether we win our case in court or before an arbitrator, we will demand that affected IAM members be awarded damages for US Airways’ flagrant contract violation. We will keep you updated as this situation develops.

OK, Who are these IAM members gonna be? and what type of damages.
$ is gonna fly out to who? The IAM itself? Fourloughed employees? current staff?
Is anyone in Mobile picketing the work being done?
Why are they able to continue work? when this is being reviewed by a court?
Lots of questions and would love to have answers.

Is it possible that a decisions already been made and its in the companys favor?

The company will have to pay damages to the mechanic and related effected and you are asking the wrong people for the answers from the court, and we don't have members down there to picket and I would suppose the Mobile Police would not let that happen as the state just gave MAE $5 million to build more hangars.

Good question Tug.
If that was the case what reason would they have to not inform us on its decision.
I have to believe that they have not ruled yet.

What obligation does the company have to inform us?
I wouldn't think that the company has to do anything, but I'm sure that all parties to this would be informed about the outcome by the court. That would mean that if anyone is withholding info it is the IAM, but I doubt that a ruling has been made (makes you wonder why, it's only a TRO).
