What I would like Peterson to explain is why the TWU brought in the IBT in a supposed Raid on the TWU during our last AMFA Card drive?

How can it be a RAID when AMFA does not have an Organizing Division, paid to go out and attempt to bring in Members?

AMFA Not being part of the AFLCIO which does NOT allow an election between members such as the IAM & TWU, How can any membership switch from one union to another without the members gathering enough signatures to go to the NMB to petition the NMB for an election?

The TWU is an industrial Union which lumps all of its ground workers into ONE Bargaining Union. With the same international Officers
If the conversation between Bret and the TWU took place about No Raid then why hasn't there been any Letter of some type distributed
to both unions memberships?

Peterson references the IBT why do they have ZERO Members of the Airline Division on the boards of many of their Locals? Why is UPS's Local 2727 not tied to the same bunch of Locals that United has with the truck drivers, Warehouse, Dairy workers, Water treatment plant workers, Heavy equipment operators? WHY?

The TWU does the same thing here at AA with the Stores, Fleet, M&R, uses the total number to hold one group down from getting anything more than the other.
The pilots are seperate, the Flight attendants are seperate, Simulator Tech's are seperate, Gate Agents are as well. Why did the AFLCIO put this ASSociation together? DUES, what other company has ONE work group under One contract with separate rules, for each unions members? WHY?

If AMFA does become our New Bargaining unit, it will be understood that until the next election of National Officers will AA have any representation at that level.

BUT when Locals are created there WILL BE Airline Reps and Locals in cities scattered across the USA rather than ONE line Local. and a Base Local.

AS a Line A&P I don't remember getting a Ballot to put Schieble in place or Caruso as each got promoted into their current positions?

In my opinion just more BS from the TWU...

This one Gary very well may be without pants but he sure looks angry!

I don't see why he would be angry, he's got his International salary and TWU pension, Maybe he thinks that the AMFA Organizers have a good chance of rocking his little boat. If we do get a VOTE he will have to decide which side he will stand with. M&R with AMFA or stay with the TWU/IAM association.

is this the start of the conversation, to get out of the association? it was my understanding that after the contract was approved the conversation would start on how to get out of the association.

GP should explain about they're weak language on Taxi premium... he should also take the opportunity to tell the membership no back door deals on the contract during the downturn... finally ..

the international convention is a drunk fest and hooker fest.. the reps are INSTRUCTED who they are to cast (yell) their voice vote for in a giant convention hall where btw.. it doesnt matter who gets the louder yell.. the international president
installs who he wants.

Lying cheating no good creep...that's what GP is... he's worried about his cushy job where he does nothing for big money..

1- Why didn't your members get full retro as AMFA got plus some, for their members?
2- Why didn't you get your members the ILC that was promised??
3- You are a liar, AMFA has already been collecting cards from AA mechanic and related all the while Horizon was too, and in the middle of card collection at AA it was announced that the "GRASS ROOTS" efforts by the mechanic and related at Horizon did if fact collect enough cards so they then contacted AMFA to tell them they have way more cards than needed and requested--I repeat "REQUESTED" that AMFA be so kind to verify and call the NMB for an election, so AMFA had to comply--that simple chiefy...
4- Simple facts are that your asso has failed the membership big time and the mechanic and related are fed up and will get a vote rather to bring AMFA in or not.
5- Another lie by your Peterson, AMFA National officers can get removed by AMFA's simple policies and process as well as any officer at any level. You cannot do that with your industrial two pc union of the TWU/IAM---period...
6- Don't be so scared of AMFA, you should embrace AMFA with open arms like the mechanic and related will do.

No matter who he decides to back, DO NOT allow that trader into AMFA, period.
You know the cards are picking up when they take time to do videos about AMFA's card drive and he is getting very nervous and rightfully so.

SWAMT; I know and it has happened every time we get a substantial number of cards and the talk on the floor is to remove the TWU as our bargaining unit.

What scares me is the fact that the membership here is so trained to NOT Think it's like a pack of sheep. I am SORRY to have to put it that way but it is True.
No matter what information you give them they still ask the same lame questions every time. The TWU M&R membership has been kept in the dark so long they don't even want to think about the UNION what so ever.

As far as putting Peterson or any other TWU/IAM Officer in place if we get AMFA here that will be hard to do, Since most will NOT step up to do the job. The few that will need to be given some guidance as to the contract rules and the constitution. At some stations they might accomplish that by keeping the TWU/IAM officers out but that will be challenged by the members here if the job they do does not change the status quo we have had here for so long.

I know I have told you this is NOT AMFA's Card drive it is the employees of AA that are looking for a change in representation. That is How the NMB looks at it.

I am Hopeful that within the next 30 days you will here that we have filed our cards with the NMB and awaiting a Ballot from them to remove this ASSociation as the Bargaining Unit for the M&R employees of AA.

When you have the Head of the TWU making a video expressing "Shock" that the AMT's at AA could even entertain jumping ship to AMFA because "Look at everything we've done for you and this is how you repay us" attitude, then Gary expressing his "bravado" over AMFA for backing out of a deal not to go after AA mechanics completely smacks of desperation on their part, as some on this board have alluded. The time to file is nearing......The TWU can hear the footsteps!

NO need for you to apologize for stating the Truth, He was probably told to come across that way, You know that in order to stay in good graces with the TWU you have to fall in Line and BE a "YES" man.

Any wavering from the bottom line will get you pushed out, and NOW that he's gotten his Intl. position he does not want to rock his piggy bank.
