Absolutely not. I like the fare wars. It really entices more folks to fly when they see the good sales, and these current ones are very good sales. Haven't seen the $39 fares in years. Just to be a bit more clear, there is more to the fare sale than meets the eyes. It will become more visual as we get further down the road.Would you rather have regulation?
If so why?
Ya think still that high? I was hoping for less (more like 18-22%) max. Maybe that tells us that the co is not seeing the numbers nowhere near where they were hoping for.Any totals on how many MS people took the early outs and how many will still get the boot? From the Crew brief on Jetnet it sound like for the union groups they will have to furlough 20-30% on Oct 1.

Just praying for all employees not to get laid off.
For the lower seniority guys and fairly new hires, there are over 1/2 dozen leads being reported of taking the leave, so at least there will be some movement around once they fill the new leads positions and this might also help with the numbers the co wants within maint with how the bidding will all end up. Plus there will be some premium shop positions open up down the hill in Engine, Slide, Structure Support and Plant maint. shops, as well as some foreman positions too. People will need to watch the bid boards daily after Sep 1st. I sense a lot of trickle bidding coming.
I can share with you the SWA numbers. As of June 19th,
1,485 Employees have elected to take VSP (Early Out)
3,006 Employees have signed up for ExTO.
This represents 7% of employees. Some of us have heard 13% is the goal. With a month left, and, IF that's the real number the co wants, not so sure we get to the 13% by July 15th. Hopefully we can get to the 10-12% range and it be enough for the co. stay that size. Hopefully the passengers will come back and the numbers Southwest sees can be enough. Just praying for all employees not to get laid off. I hope more will sign up after all the Town Hall meetings and info on medical, VSP and the ETO programs. I do encourage anyone close to attend the retirement classes and get any and all questions answered. If ya can't make them in person SWA has arranged electronic attendance as well. Good luck to everyone, in hopes of more applying by 7-15-20. Everyone stay safe, stay healthy. Do what is best for you and your family.

Don't you Southwest Guys have your own Forum?
Don't you Southwest Guys have your own Forum? My question is for AA folks, specifically mechanics.. Do you think AA will red circle DFW like they did in 2012??
That's too bad!.......I was looking forward to "bump" into DFW! Kidding! Different folks (USAir) running AA and The Association running the Unions! I don't see it happening! As I recall the DFW red circle was a local agreement worked out well after the first round riff had already started... I wouldn't be surprised to see similar deals work out behind the scenes this fall...
Once the iam decides how layoffs will go they will tell alex how its going to be.That's too bad!.......I was looking forward to "bump" into DFW! Kidding! Different folks (USAir) running AA and The Association running the Unions! I don't see it happening!
Can you please explain the Juniority system to me. Since I only ever elected to bump locally (from TULE to TUL) during my career I am not really familiar with the mechanics of the juniority system. My bump was sort of a special case because in the event of a layoff TUL and TULE were considered one station.Didn't you read your contract we are NO Longer under the TWU's way of doing things. Any cuts and bumping will be done the way the IAM does things. The Juniority pool is GONE.
