Just another "out of touch" program25% of your pay, while another airline (southwest, i believe) is offering 50% of your pay for taking a voluntary leave...what a waste of cloud space by aa.
it should also be brought up to be clear, unlike aa's passion for vagueness...that the additional $600 a week unemployment from the feds could be allowed to expire at the end of july.
bottom line, if an aa employee took a 3 month voluntary leave in march and got approved for unemployment by their state..looks like they'll came out the best. more pay sitting at home, safer from the virus than those trudging into work everyday.
i would think if you are in the bottom 40% it might be a good thing to prepare. not that they will layoff 40% but by the time bumping starts who knows what will happen? but then again we do have the association an once the iam decides how laoffs will go and then informs the twu the way its gong to be....im sure it will work out equitably like it has all along...Anyone hearing when we may hear about numbers for the represented groups.
I hope that it will be sometime in July to give those effected time to make decisions and plans

I think 40 percent is a bit pessimistic but it’s hard to gage based on many things.i would think if you are in the bottom 40% it might be a good thing to prepare. not that they will layoff 40% but by the time bumping starts who knows what will happen? but then again we do have the association an once the iam decides how laoffs will go and then informs the twu the way its gong to be....im sure it will work out equitably like it has all along...
the number is just my personal opinion, i have no inside info at all. they like to monkey see monkey do. watch united what they do and we will follow suit. thats what we do best.I think 40 percent is a bit pessimistic but it’s hard to gage based on many things.
Our loads are definitely improving but again we have permanently parked a lot of aircraft so time will tell
yup. you have to keep in mind bumping. what i meant to say was 40% could be affected some how some way.I think 40 percent is a bit pessimistic but it’s hard to gage based on many things.

Yup.August 1 is definitely a day to watch. At DL, all early retirements or enhanced severance people have an effective exit date of 8/1. My guess is a lot of people will be getting their WARN letters while eating cake & ice cream.
I read an article that stated they WOULD make an announcement in July.Anyone hearing when we may hear about numbers for the represented groups.
