Afa Wins!

That's great! Congratulations!

Now if only the AFA realized that United flight attendants are part of AFA and actually did ONE SINGLE action to help us, life would be grand.

Folks,

I'm loving life right now....AFA wins...

Details will follow!
This foils their plans throwing a monkey wrench into their conniving schemes. Bring out the bank of U attorneys because we are going to see multiple levels of appeals, and of course this will accelerate the selling off of assets because it will be all the AFA’s fault for getting in the way of their brilliant business plans.

Hang in there Cav !!! They will have plenty of time to pin it all on the IAM soon enough , the AFA can't have all the fun.

Congratulations AFA !!! A true Victory of MIGHT and RIGHT over a definate wrong.

Where's Piney ..... Bob?

I guess he will still say that AFA leaders are useless no matter what?

Where's PSA? AFA leaders are what again?

It's my understanding that when each side agreed to expedited arbitration, it was agreed that whatever ruling was made...was the end of it.
This is going to cause MANY MANY people a headache. CCY is going to have to figure out how to notify everyone and lots of F/A have shipped things back to their homes and rejected their leases and crashpads. Oh my...what a huge mess.

This is a great victory for all AFA flight attendants, and indirectly all of the employees of US Airways.

RESPECT US AND OUR CONTRACTS AND PERHAPS YOULL GET SOME RESPECT FROM US!!!

PITbull.....a friendly reminder. Don't make a great victory into another trip to cyber-purgatory. De Gulag is mighty cold this time of year

AFA may help this management with their "time lines" as long as they do "right' by the flight attendant group.

This was managements misjudgement. AFA told them as far back as late Oct. that IF they plan on layoffs, they better offer a VF an VISP. They ignored the warning.

They will need some "relief". Ball is in our court.

Youre right about a mess 333. They have to let all of those FAs know, offer a voluntary program, and completly redo thier MAA letters. From my understanding, those 500 recieved the first MAA interest forms. Now those are to be rescinded and the next 500 junior will get them.

Ironically, US will save money on labor costs in offering the voluntary program.

Light,

This may end up costing them. There were not enough f/as to cover all 4 months of classes for MAA. They were about 114 short. They needed to go to the past Sept fruloughees to see if they can fill round #1 offers.

If this management doesn't raise the "bar" for MAA, they will be hiring from the street by summer.

LightYears:
I can tell you as FACT that they only got a handful of bids for the entire round 1 bidding for MDA. Maybe 1/3 of what they needed. I am going to raise holy heck with AFA and as part of the "relief" options are to let the 500ish who had the option to bid MDA ....go ahead to MDA or stay out on furlough. Everyone is freaking out and the phone is ringing off the hook here! I am sick of my life and everyone around my seniority's life being screwed with. I applaud AFA for this win but the last laugh I fear will be on us. We need AFA now to fight for some "options" and give us something to choose.
