AA and Labor Negotiations-2020

Looks as though Maintenance will really leapfrog Delta and become industry leading (in pay). Fleet looks as though we will either be even or maybe a penny short.
Keep the penny, we get another week vacation and since we cant bid we'll be getting the cash

Can't get an ILC for title 1 and 2 when you have a loser fleet service clerk representing us in negotiations. That alone should be the best reason to sign a card and bail.

After the dust settles with the work groups and oil is resonable they could probably do 4 billion a year

With higher labor costs for all groups? While losing revenue from the 737Max and now the coronavirus?

Hey NYer, as a former President and possible negotiator, would you have been OK with bringing back this AIP with the insurance as is. I do recall you stating (as I did) very strongly that no way the IAM keeps ther medical.

Word from the big little airport in Queens...
"I'm voting no because they changed the CS policy!"
And that is exactly why it will pass...and the AMFA drive will die like it always does.

With the job protections, yes although will take a few years.

No. Station protection for everyone unless there are some underlying language.

Station protection is a scam. If the marketing dept, changed the flight schedule, reducing the number of flights, do you think that AA would just let you sit around and watch tv. They (AA) even changed the system protection back too if I remember Oct. 1998. Not sure exactly when it happened around, 99-2001.
Just like No strike No lockout clauses, we are AA the self help we may of had in the past is LONG Gone. PEB would force any group back to work that would affect USA economy.

As AA phases out aircraft the stations that have those types will be cut don't fool yourself. AA changes its flight schedule all the time. Starts and stops flights in/out of cities depending on load and competition. JFK, PR, are a few examples. AFW is another.

ARE YOU KIDDING!!!!!!!! On the AA side for the last 5 years we have had to look over at the US side and see them make an extra 30,000 a year more than us. We have lost money into our 401K, our medical cost have been double from the US side, we have had half the holidays at lower pay, less sick leave. There is twice of us on the TWU side than there is on the IAM side . We have not been allowed to vote on anything (including representation). For this committee to appease the US side with continued lower health costs and an insulting $6,000 bonus and not full retro is a big SHITE SANDWICH. Not just a NO vote but a HELL NO VOTE. Where a re the AMFA cards.

And gain exactly what by voting no?
Certainly not all your upset about.
I mean your certainly entitled to your own vote, but you sound awful bitter for someone who will make the kind of money we make.
There are millions of people who would love to make even half of what we make.
But yeah it’s your right to do whatever

Very surprised at that outcome, although they sunset but it'll take some time.

May not have liked bringing that back, but would've had an equally hard time trying to force it being eliminated.

In reality, even if the TWU was a standalone it wouldn't been difficult to eliminate that, if the airline was willing to leave it for at least a little while. I say that because they get to vote and trying to have something pass with an almost automatic no vote from thousands could hinder being able to get advances for the TWU side.

(this won't go over well)

You sound like a management troll. Let me guess America West. Those of us who have been here for many years have done nothing but give back. Easy enough for some like you in the minority who has done much better than those in the majority who have had no say in our future. Hurry up and vote yes. A no vote tells the union and the company they need to do better. Go ahead and hate on those of us who believe we deserve a good quality job not just have a job. But it's your choice to settle and be a sheep.
