Usually Epays shows payment info the Sunday before Friday payday.. Anyone know why Epays doesn't show our signing bonus and week of vacation payout for the 22nd,,, today?

On the special checks they usually show up later in the week. Hopefully Wednesday or Thursday.

Well.. my guess is we are all going to get scammed out of it...

the scam-demic are those who took leaves with 25% pay and receiving unemployment...now, a senator says they should get a 'bonus' to come back to work and get off unemployment??

what about the a$$holes who show up to work 40 hours a week during a pandemic and have to deal with potential exposure?

First thing, the articles you read about AA differ from far left to far right on the company and how it will survive. They are written by people who give their opinion based on either their limited knowledge or their invested interests.

So with that we can follow our own experiences and internal information and come up with our own conclusions that will fall somewhere in between the far left and the far right. So at the end of the day as they say we have achieved the same outcome. Believe what you want.

Now as far as the signing bonus check not in epaays? If you can recall from past special paychecks they do not always show up on Sunday prior to being deposited. Majority of the time they do not. So if your anxious to see it check Epaays everyday. By this coming Friday it should be in your bank account.

More doom and gloom towards AA from the analyst folks.
I'm not so sure AA would go away. Pretty sure the gov. would try and help save it from disappearing just because of its name alone. Pretty sure they could get back on their feet after another BK filing, although they will be one of the smallest airlines out there afterwards IMO.
Strap in folks, come Oct 1st it's gonna get rough if the flying does not improve...

I’ve read similar stories maybe even from this same writer.
Truth is nobody knows where this mess will end for any of the airlines.
I think AA will most likely try and get through this but like the others much smaller, which unfortunately means layoffs.
If the travel doesn’t return mid next year than bankruptcy is very likely.
Either way it’s going to be very difficult for all involved

The troubling thing is the amount of debt aa carries. I read an article that 40 billion in debt will be difficult to service as a 30% smaller airline without a bankruptcy. Spmething that makes sense to me but Who knows? Time will tell

Yes I do understand that’s an issue and I do imagine they will try and restructure that debt and now is a time to do that with these historically low rates

I've heard lots of different numbers on the debt load... what exactly is it and what is it for?

Airplanes? They'll give them back.... payroll? They can chop that... facilities? Those can be shrunk...

12 billion was used for stock buy back program. The rest was used for new headquarters. airplanes facilities equipment etc. Mostly pissed away. Aa had like 25 billion in debt before this started. The next bankruptcy im pretty sure they will dump the pensions.

What is it for? When they were making more money than they knew what to do with "we will never lose money again" low interest rates are a "great deal" blah blah blah. Think about the guys that are making the most they ever made in their lives living off of the overtime, that are niw talking about bankruptcy lawers because the overtime stopped.

the govt. has allowed $25 billion in loans available to airlines if they can't get private financing.

how to pay them back? more warrants? further dilution of stock? the 30% of grants to be paid back is only 1% over LIBOR for the first 5 years, 2% above LIBOR the next 5 years.

sounds like the carry trade scam. money center banks get money from the Fed at the discount rate, then turn around and buy treasuries at higher rates with the same money. guaranteed money-maker.

better than BK.

They rework debt even in good term.Bankruptcy is always a possibility, it is a tool to relieve debt. The airline that files will have an advantage over the others.,and fly for the next 50 years ,Public won't blink an eye.How many familiar retailers filed in the last week? It's going to be a a familiar word in the months to follow.Might even be a good idea.A lot of law lawfirms gonna be making a whole lot of money. Yes we going get screwed .
