AA and Labor Negotiations-2020

Question should be asked who signed off on this method and can we see the agreement with signatures of who they are

Historically, we don't have high turnout. There will be a vote, but I wouldn't be surprised if the IAM has a higher turnout.
That's exactly what the asso wants, low turnout and participation on the TWU side. Division, division, division.

Well. It seems the TWU will continue to be a passenger ion the bus.

If the vote is on the 26th, it can't be a mail out. It probably won't be electronic. So it seems, the TWU will also do an in person vote.

Where? TBD
Us and them forever until these guys get a clue and replace this dysfunctional asso.

Hold up! What’s this? Perhaps the Grand Poobah hasn’t spoken! Although I am a little worried that the TWU has to have a plan, there is hope for some other way of voting. Otherwise we are looking at a very low turnout in my opinion.
It should be done electronically, and open longer than just one day so all members get a chance to vote. Most all unions give 2 weeks to a full month to put a vote in. This IAM is just begging for this to fly thru quickly so they will do a one day in person vote in order to have a small and very low turnout.

Obsessed?
just ask past and now missing posters, weezal, overspeed, 700, and NY'er if I knew what I was talking about, more so than they did and they worked there or for the union. Indeed, it is sad, but it it also true.

Hardly.

The W and 700 are both Association apologists. They'll be trumpeting support regardless of what the organization does or says.

Don't think decisions are being made as an Association but rather as the IAM with the TWU coalescing.

Just about the entire process, apart from the tough guy stuff, had been to the IAM's advantage. All their process was used, including keeping the Local Presidents in the dark, controlling the messaging and even the voting process.

I finally received a response on the voting from a union official. It's not from the top but it appears that the IAM will do it their way as past practices dictate. On the TWU side they can do it their way different from the IAM method. Problem is Alex Garcia wants to do this fast and is keen to the IAM way. Problem is we don't have locals spread out at each major stations. So the TWU has to have a plan on a makeshift way of voting in person using a paper ballot. Or we can do a secure online electronic voting process like we have been doing for several years. It's up to Alex the sellout Garcia to make a decision so I'm told. I see joker in the cards on this vote.
In the past we(IAM fleet thats Mr or Sir IAM Fleet to you)have had a one day paper ballot vote in the AIrline terminal.

I was not a time complainer, if anything, I was the one trying to throw some cold water on those that keep telling us this was going to be quick...like 700, W, CB and PRez.

I did complain about the lack of transparency in the process, the lack of communication. Now we're supposed to ingest all the changes in a matter of days and that's just fine?

EVERYTHING is going to change, don't you want to understand everything?

Without locals at every station a alternate plan has to be made. If this goes the IAM way it will be done on the fly. Paper ballots then counted and results phoned in? Corruption is what I see in this vote from the TWU side. The TWU hasn't done a vote using the IAM method since I've been with AA over 30 plus years. Four years of negotiations, one day to vote without a secure plan spells serious corruption voting.
they are desperate for this plan to pass. one way or the other.

And there you have it. Us vs them. All that was mentioned in that post was that this contract has massive changes throughout. Then here comes some genius to say suck it, we work harder and better! Wow. Co workers.
