She certainly fanned the flames. However, (and it is second-hand info from AA friend of mine)-that F/A's from Stl/SLT are going back to DFW. Anyone know if
this is true? (have visual of Maggs chained to the union doors refusing to leave before her agenda is done)lol
Mutual lateral transfers from SLT are allowed. A friend of mine at SLT thought he was going to get his transfer to LAX, but the person on the other end decided that he didn't want to have to qualify on additional a/c. My friend is qualified on everything AA flies except the 777. The person at LAX was only qualified on 2 a/c.

Most of the people at STL are being transferred over to SLT as STL is drawn down. The scheduled "end date" for STL is still 30AUG. I understand that for AUG there will be 3 a/c and about 30 f/as on the STL side.

From what I have heard, a number of the people in St. Louis now were forced transferred from MIA. They want to return to MIA, but MIA is technically overstaffed right now. Some of the DCA and LGA flying has been given to MIA to "keep their people busy."

The company tried to get some of the STL/SLT people from MIA to transfer to LGA with the argument that it is an easier commute for them. However, if they accept transfer to any base other than STL/SLT, they lose their contractual right to first dibs on any openings in MIA.

Hello TWAnr!---- What took you so long to get here on this one?
This proposal has been in the works for a while.

Those who need to know about it have been present at board of directors meetings when this attempt of disenfranchisement was at its inception.

I fully trust that this new development will be addressed by the courts, if passed. Even if it fails, it bolsters the argument that the APFA leadership has breached it duty to fairly represent the former TWA flight attendants.

To all at this forum that called me Psycho. I'm not a Psycho. I just happened to still have a job with AA, and I am actively trying to keep us flying, so that maybe some day all of you will come back to work with me. I thought we were all grown ups here. Since when do we lower our selves to name calling. Try to Read what I said carefully, it's just an opinion, based on the AA Natives that I have spoken to so far, they agree with me on the only one issue that I discussed. When I get home from my three day trip I will review what I'm voting on and will see if I need to re-think were I stand. But bottom line what I think is not in-line in your thought process. But I will be the first one to say "you guys win" after the vote fails. In the meantime I think that times have changed. There are a lot of laws in this land of ours that get ammended all the time to suit the times. So let the voting begin.

Don't let someone that doesn't agree with all your views, blind you from what the other side might think. What happened to tolerence?

Hope you guys have a life outside this BB?

Where have U been? That IS pretty much normal procedure here.

When u don't agree with the TWA mantra like jimntx, then you will be called names.
Period
point blank

You would be an idiot if you did vote yes for the changes. Once you read all the proposed changes in RED, I guarantee you will vote NO! If you need help understanding the APFA Constitution just ask myself, fa mikey or jimntx, we all will be glad to help you out.

 "THINK, little grasshopper. THINK !"

Is it true that by voting "YES" that the union would have the say about EVERYTHING (and could never be sued if we thought they were not representing us?

So, let's say they decided to divided the work force - some to fly RJ and some to fly the larger planes and change pay rules, etc - they could not be held responsible? Or could they be agents of the company rather than represent the flight atttendants - can you image what we could lose.

I think we need the "checks and balances" so that they can not overpass their authority. That can be accomplished only by saying "NO", I don't give you complete control over my career!

I just received the ballot in the mail. I am reading it and honestly, I am confused.
My first inclination is to vote no. I agree is is bull@#%! to start charging dues to furloughed f/s's. But natives who take leaves and don't pay your dues on time, they will be fining you late charges as well
Personally, I really don't think it is about getting the TWA'rs out of the loop further, it is all about money. Isn't it always?
You twa'rs need to vote in usison on this again and vote no. I will be joining you from the little bit I have read!

The conclusion of your post is my whole confusion on the APFA mentality.
Why would u suggest that they vote in a certain way as a block unless you doubt that the majority of FAs as a whole are going to vote another way?

If you REALLY feel that the resolution is not about being "meanies" to the EX-twaers, then wouldn't/shouldn't the majority of all FAs be voting for the best solution and not because it might or might not cater to THEM?

Just a question?

Lateral -I understood what AA stew is saying.

She is saying that she can see how it would affect the TWA people, and she can see how it affects all f/a's, including herself. She is not saying vote against the other side. She is making the best solution based on what she is reading.

I guess you have to be a flight attendant to understand it. Or could it be that you are still trying to get one side against the other?
