Some of you guys trot out that "cost neutral" line a little too much for my taste. Cmon get with the program. These are certainly NOT cost neutral or concessionary times that we should even remotely think that way.

It's finally time that you all change your mindsets. Look around you, read what is happening.

Don't you think FINALLY it's time to start thinking positive.

I again don't know what they're going to share? But NO WAY do I want them to tip their hand to this POS company that we've seen wants to put in one pocket and take from the other.

Give me a break already.
Don't you think that should be directed at the Association?

This is the way it goes. Scope goes to 8 flights a day LAA looks at it as an improvement LUS looks at it as a concession. Put $30 on the table, all of LAA votes yes. They close some LUS stations in the future and maybe open some LAA. Do this with each article. Yes it is a concessionary contract but it passes. This is reality and how it will go no matter what the 20 people on this forum think

Put $30 on the table and no change to 401K and that's all it would take for me to

VOTE YES

Yep throw your coworkers under the bus, but you don't realize those small stations are very senior, they will come to DFW, and you will be on the street.

See if you had any real time in this industry, you would know that.

Just watch what happens to the CSAs now.

Well ya jack hole!! I ran the odds and I'm looking realy good. Sorry to disappoint you.
Besides more than 70% voted "YES" for the money, tell the agents the same thing.

Where would 35 + years land on a work schedule bid in DFW? Just curious.

Ok guys. Digest this one. Today the Association sat down with the Company and presented them a FULL comprehensive proposal.

In return the Association got back from the Company, NOTHING!!!!!

Didn't Doug say in all those town halls that the Company was ready to negotiate?

Hogwash. Again they presented to our negotiators.

NOTHING..........

I am unsure if you are confused or if you are disingenuous... when I say "cost neutral", I am not saying within the total CBA, but rather as the cost of the options as being equal compared against each other.  If the pension costs the same as the 401K and both having the same sizable increase compared to the current respective CBA, then they are still "cost neutral" compared to each other, and thus, still cost the same.  If one was more expensive, then I would like to know which way the Association was leaning with the idea of some increase in the overall CBA. So would it be with furlough and recall obligations as whatever "costs" would be from the Company's perspective would be the ability to remove topped-out workers from the payroll, but between the respective CBAs those costs should be the same.

I guess I just want to know after all the closed door discussions for which I understand some things cannot be discussed publicly as not to tip one's hand to the Company, what are the Association's objectives in terms of a pension vs. a 401K or even the furlough rights which could be done so without mentioning dollars?

I don't think that is too much to ask.

The company wants to get this done. Proof, look at the other work groups.
