As previously announced, on December 3
rd
, 2015, the TWU-IAM Association will
officially open negotiations with American Airlines and begin bargaining a joint
contract for the 30,000 ground workers at the world’s largest airline. We under-
stand that many of you are anxious to get to the table and we thank you for your
patience. Your representatives have worked tirelessly and carefully to ensure that
we enter into joint bargaining from a position of strength. We’re prepared and
we’re ready to fight to secure the best possible contracts for Association members,
including better wages, benefits, working conditions and retirement security.
The Association will communicate transparently with you throughout this process.
 
 
First day fail!

Are you for real now? Go to the TWU FB page and look at the 53 pictures posted. And I told you that they presented a proposal to the company and got nothing back.

What is it that satisfies you? You are NOT going to get all the details of everything that was in that proposal. That is NOT how it works.

To ALL AF Posters/Readers . FYI.  Remember one thing as the ASSOCIATION begins JCB for JCBA's. AAL/DP have the RLA on their side . WE should have a pretty clear idea where these negotiations are headed with-in  6-9 months and if they stay on track for a Industry Leading  JCBA's in 2017 or become political and bogged down ??? As usual follow the $$$. Real change for Union Airline Workers will happen if the RLA is amended  in 2017. Early Out/Retirement for those who have paid their dues and survived  Airline Deregulation/Consolidation. Happy Holidays !

What more info do you want from them? Say it. But if you say you want the full text language of what they presented to the company I very much doubt you'll get your wish.

When the company actually does start to negotiate, things passed back and forth will change daily. Should they update you if one of the company negotiators sneezes or comes in with a pimple on his nose another day?

How about giving them a chance to maybe figure that out? Maybe they're waiting on the company for the next date? But no I would not be surprised if it doesn't fire up until after the Holidays like you thought?
