How much money did those videos cost you? Nothing. That's the answer. USAPA kept you on LOA 93 for five extra years. And they never secured one single contractual improvement without the APA. U.S. air pilots lost over a billion dollars in W2 pay. Spin that.

There were many attempts to negotiate. Parker said many times it was a moot point because of the NIC debacle. You and your kind are just ticked because we wouldn't roll over on the NIC. We never got a contract but it was wasn't for lack of trying. To state otherwise is just stupid. Nobody wanted to stay on LOA93 but sometimes you just have to play the cards you are dealt. It didn't help with the West pilots doing everything they could to undermine efforts.

Cleary in charge- no Nicolau Award implemented. west pilots swept into merger with AA sans JCBA.
Ferguson, 2004 america west hire allows years of separate ops to carry into an AA merger, thus dooming a JCBA with east. Thus no Nic.
Face it, all a west pilot can basically fly is a narrow body. Thousands of east pilots upgrade and fly WIDEBODY jets and are compensated handsomely.
Cleary owns you, face the facts. Any new hire cries when told they will be PHX based. It is a career killer.

Frankly, I'm surprised that there aren't a few familiar names that haven't gone "missing". Your MOU or Arbitration choice sucks largely because the East pilots waged an unwinnable internal war. Parker knew full well he could simply ignore the fake union and he did. The West voted for the MOU in droves simply to hasten the demise of the fake union and the APA voted for it to teach Horton a "lesson" by giving him 20 million dollars to leave and all along, the ONLY thing the East wanted was to beat the West. Parker is laughing all the way to the bank with what should have been your profit sharing check, but the War you started with the West created so many moving parts to this debacle that nobody was in a position to influence Parker. The Industry is leaving AA pilots in the dust with this POS contract offer all the while the billions will just keep pouring into doug and kirby's pockets. Oh, BTW, The West is still going to get what they've always been entitled to. Probably more. Try and wrap your mind around how big a mistake USAPA was, you'll be paying for it for the rest of your life in some form or another.

Go ahead and sue your " fake" union. Ferguson and the west entitled would sue their mothers if given the chance. The 2004 hire ruined the west pilots future by turning down the Nic. Face the facts- Ferguson is a greedy weasel who miscalculated and lost.

Well said, how short sighted some people are with their decision making, always the victim. No pilot group who acquired them would put up with their crap. USAPA insured their fate going into the next merger. I have no sympathy for stupidity or lame excuses for their failures.

America West Merger Committee Update
 
We regret that the limited number of observer seats at the Preliminary Arbitration have now all been spoken for by RSVP. All America West pilots who have already sent an RSVP will be able to attend, and we will send confirmation emails, along with attendance instructions, directly to you. If you do find yourself in the Washington DC area during the arbitration dates and you would like to attend the hearing, please email [email protected] the day of the hearing see if space has become available.
Despite the limited ability to attend the hearing in person, all pilots will be able to stay informed regarding the proceedings by reviewing the daily hearings transcripts. The hearing transcripts from each day will be posted on our website the day after each hearing day. Our website address is:

The Preliminary Arbitration will consist of up to five hearing days, the first three of which are scheduled for December 15-17, 2014, approximately 9am–5pm each day.

1) Perhaps to at least conduct themselves as even the poorest impersonations of responsible adults, much less professional pilots, instead of perpetually adolescent, complete and utter fools? Maybe, just maybe not permanently placing videos on the world's net proving just what the absolutely lowest levels of hopeless morons/T-shirted wearing idiots that currently and sadly infest some commercial airline cockpits can actually be?
 
2) I won't be "paying" for any west jackasses' pathetic brayings for so much as a second, in ANY form. Grow up. News flash: "You'se" just ain't "all that" and actually count for nothing at all in my life, save for a source of clinical interest and wry amusement.

So now the BOD is on break until the 16th, and there are no details of a company proposal or any company movement.  The company is evidently still dictating to the NC and waiting for the members to grow restless and mutiny against the BOD.  
 
What should we do?  The hardest part will be patience.   The company has given us the carrot.  Next will be the stick.   What should we do?  Maybe just jump all in and persuade ourselves we can't do any better until next time (wouldn't that feel so comfortable.. like a good pair of broke in boots?).  
 
Or we could just do the east west tastes great less filling! That could distract us for a looooong time.

Maybe it's an ancient concept to assume that a person who agrees to a process they will abide by it. Maybe that's why you'll see me thanking a cop rather than mocking him for enforcing the law. It's people like you with the victim complex who are the problem. Get over yourself, a$$hole.
