They'd happily just screw themselves into the ground if left unnattended in a spin. We lost our first female student fatality due to a Tweet crash in such fashion (don't EVEN ask about the paperwork/Holy Inquisition/etc the poor Tweet IP's had to do). I was on the T-38 side of the fence at the time. There was much debate whether she indeed spun in, or was tragically disoriented after a poorly entered (heavy nose down/WAY past the usual 30 degrees =nothing but green land in view) attempted barrel roll, and we'll just never know. In all fairness, I never let an airplane have her own opinion on what to do without some pilot interaction, and only had student time in the '37, so I can't say for certain that you're wrong.

I'd find an aircraft logbook more a more interesting read than to have to listen to you on a 4-day trip. Sheesh.
