This is why the APA can't stand the AWA pilot group, what a sense of entitlement.
Apparently, someone had his button pushed by an AWA Pilot

As cut and paste from APA C&R
Adam (current AW with a second number at TWA/AA)
You are clueless!
It's classic; you and Patrick on on here spouting about the Nic award!
I WANT THE NIC AWARD FOR MY FEB 1999 hire date at TWA. I am not getting it, nor do I expect to reshuffle any lists. But the fact that you guys think you should be 'ratio'd in' a few thousand numbers higher than your AA numbers is sickening! Get real dude!
I have several very good friends at AWA; however, the truth is that the 'West' side brings (by far) the least to the dance by a mile! You guys bring a bunch of old narrow bodies, a youthful pilot list; a worthless Phoenix base (which is HALF RJs) and will be the first on the chopping block!
You both still have numbers at AA. Your true 'career expectations' at AA now are MUCH BETTER than your lowly expectations ever were at Am West. AWA brings NOTHING compared to the value TWA brought. Unfortunately all the TWA value was squandered by a pathetic management!
But the reality........the fact that you think you should leapfrog a couple thousand of your AA brothers because of the Nic award is gross. Even if you guys get the Nic award.......your AWA numbers (from your 2003 hire dares) should be BELOW every AA pilot, (with the exception of the last year of recent new hires!
Now if apa is going to actually represent the bottom 50% of the AA list is another story.
I would say give you 'Westies' the Nic award and ratio you in with your 'super seniority.' However, you all need to stay LOCKED IN to PHX for the long haul; and all growth or shrinkage of Phoenix is all on your shoulders; not the pilots of AA!
I can't even believe that you guys are even getting any consideration in discussions at all! We (bottom dwellers of AA) have been so fucked and stagnated our entire careers! We FINALLY have some movement and a little potential as far as career expectations.........and our America West 'brothers' feel they have a 'right' to our progression! I think you guys are going to have one hell of a hard time convincing this to an arbitrator!
Good luck! You are going to need it.
The good news for you guys with both seniority numbers is that you get to wait and see what happens and then decide which seniority number you want.
As far as wanting your rightful 'Nic award' at my expense, or at the expense of all my brothers who have been screwed since we all got furloughed back in 2002........piss off!
