This is some funny sh!t!
When I got out of the Navy in 1987, any of my squadron mates accepting a job at USAir had their judgement questioned. In the unlikely event they stayed there (most of them left), they had their sanity questioned.
USAir, while technically a major airline, was mostly a regional carrier that flew big jets. Delta, American, United, and Northwest were the majors.
Had I been in a similar situation back then, I might have taken a chance on an upstart airline before going to the train wreck that was USAir.

Sure, maybe, but you DMN sure would not have tossed an app at America West, regardless.

Before we get to Laura, last week I had a chance to run a few questions past Neil Roghair, Allied Pilots Association VP, about how things look on the pilot side of the house.
The most burning question that everyone is asking of course is about the seniority question. Is there any chance that there will be a negotiated seniority agreement?
Neil's answer? No.
"There is zero chance of a negotiated seniority list. It is the most complex integration in the history of seniority integrations. But that isn't to say that there might not be a few issues that we negotiate which trim down the issues for the arbitrators to address," he explained.

Wasnt to hard for the flight attendants, and any other group, they went DOH... How simple.
IMHO, APA has never had to settle with a SLI other than a staple job. Now that the law has stepped in via the M/B, they are afraid to give in on any negotiated SLI because they don't want to loose "too much". However, again MHO, they will lose more through M/B arbitration.

Good for you. Hearty congrats on getting past the suicidal "shrink" (or was his equally insane son doing that bit by '87?) and his Lilly Tomlin rocking chair. I think I flunked the "non-assertive personality" part of the test (later proven in court by others as what Delta management screened for, btw) by laughing at the chair, but no matter. I never applied to USAir either and was perfectly happy, after a short tenure at Eastern looked grim with Lorenzo coming in, with PSA, which I viewed as the perfect airline "flying club". "Catch our Smile"/etc...although one almost needed a waiver for being USAF, given the high concentration of USN folks.  😉

Per "This is some funny sh!t!" What's funny would have been the idea of ever applying to AWA, which I'm gathering you didn't even consider doing either....? Why not?

You don't understand how we are different from flight attendants and any other group?

What a simpleton.
Staying a F/O on a narrow body by choice, and you call me a simpleton? Really?

You have to make it an issue when it happens by delaying the flight until it is resolved. That is the only way it will get fixed.

Sadly agreed. Any people even capable of hiding logbooks, posting "love letters" to subsequent crews, etc, have already and very clearly demonstrated themselves as unhinged individuals....Who knows what else might have been done to the aircraft?

I am really starting to love flying west planes, they never work and have had most of the trip subed out every time, what junk.

What a simpleton.
Years of litigation. And you are not the simpleton? Are any other groups that accepted DOH embroiled in countless lawsuits? Millions spent? Every, every other group on the property went DOH, and the one that did not is in a legal inferno. For years.
You are different. A bunch of idiots. Had the west accepted the method of every other group, they would be better off.
Now, they will be locked in PHX for years, on the lowest paid equipment.
You, are the simpleton.

Traitor is a trust fund baby. He got his job from Pappy.
He loves to trash his fellow workers.
He has no skin in the game.
Chip Munn is his source of thought. Pretty sad.....

Chip is his source of thought..... Indeed its true, but now there is a tough question.. Does this mean Trader has elevated Chip above Alex Jones, or has Alex Jones been relegated as less influential than Chip?

Remember, he is afraid to upgrade and take on the responsibility.
