The industry has been McDonaldized.

Your increase( if any ) will never match what you've already lost.

Good luck to all.

And unfortunately for the customers, (in AA's case anyway) the service will reflect that.
Having said that, the dirt cheap airfares are really all many customers care about anyway.
IMHO

Again, the reason i did not ask HOW WILL YOU VOTE, is because this is not a MECHANICS ONLY forum......
All I am asking what people think will happen, that's all.

Feel free to start a poll here asking whether people will vote YES or NO.....While the voters will be made up of pilots, flight attendands, titles other than I and II,,,,and better yet.....NON-AAEers will be voting..anti-unionists and pro management types as well....

I understand why you worded it how you did but don't really understand why you want everyone's speculation when they know nothing about what the language will mean for the work life of the different maintenance groups. As a flight attendant I can see certain things up front that could garner a no vote but really don't know enough to even speculate.

I think the thread would have been more informative if you just asked the maintenance guys/girls if they will vote yes or no.

No need to ask the maintenance guys/girls how they will vote. They will vote on the contract yes or no.
I simply asked people who read and post on this forum what they THINK the outcome will be. I do not understand for the life of me people having such criticism of this poll.

The highlights of the TA were made public and soon the TA in its entirety will be made public.
Since everyone has an opinion about virtually everything, I am just asking what their opinion is....yea or nay.

For instance, I THINK the flight attendants WILL strike if released....And I THINK the President will appoint a PEB to help settle the dispute.

I think this will happen and I know NOTHING about the FA latest offer.

Forget it.

Today is the day and if this poll is any indication of the outcome we may be negotiating for another year.

Nothing gained Nothing lost

If it does pass all the more reason to sign an AMP card

Waiting for the results

We had hoped to have news of the Transport Workers Union ratification vote results by now, but it looks like they're still counting.

I've heard that over 12,000 of the 12,800 eligible ballots were returned to TWU offices this morning and that the American Arbitration Association is still tabulating the results. That's close to 94 percent of the membership covered by these contracts.

Mechanics, stock clerks and maintenance technicians are voting on whether to ratify tentative contract agreements with American Airlines or to reject the contracts.

It may be late this afternoon or early this evening before we have an announcement of how the vote went. Stay tuned.

FROM THE FT. WORTH STAR-TELEGRAM BLOG: SKY TALK

"...UPDATE: I'm hearing that they're shooting for results to be announced around 4 p.m. About an hour ago, counters were separating the no and yes votes from Tulsa. The NO pile was apparently higher at the time for both the Stores group and Maintenance, I've heard.

UPDATE NO.2: It's 4 p.m. and still no results. Looks like a late night is ahead of them. Latest news is that they are counting Alliance-FW and that vote is running around 80 percent NO.

It looks like we may have completed one of two circles.
