Tim speaks the truth, I just read the garbage T/A online so many loopholes the co can work around. The NC should be ashamed at the pathetic agreement they brought back. Admit it all they care about is dues from sCO.
Josh
You are confusing job security with seniority protections. You have no job security without scope. Sorry. Your seniority protections are not job security. You have two seniority protections, i.e., 1) anyone with 15 years can have the ability to exercise their seniority for a full time job somewhere that the company determines, for any reason. You also have seniority protection if your station gets contracted out. That means that you have the right to exercise your seniority to take a full time job somewhere. But don't most of you already have seniority protections that are found in your reduction in force article? I mean, I have 1999 seniority protections in my contract but If I get a displacement package, then all that means is that the company has to offer me a job somewhere. But I don't really need that 1999 seniority protection do I? I mean, I can already exercise my seniority and displace the lowest guy in the system and so can you. So the seniority protections don't mean anything if you already have the seniority to displace, Yes? The ones who need seniority protections are the exact ones who don't have it at United. But whatever the case, seniority protections are NOT job protection. Your job protection answers questions like "Whose work is this?" That is contained in your scope. And that brings us back to the question,i.e., why did the IAM only provide scope for 7 stations and leave 83 stations without any protection against anyone else doing their work? The answer is clear, if you read 2-2 it says that they fully plan on going back in and renegotiating lower wages and lower benefits and less working conditions at these stations as the company determines which ones get whacked. This may be new to you but I've seen it before and trust me it's no fun being on a second class pay. Thus, the wage of $24 and the benefits are all myth for 90%+ of the stations since all of them will necessarily have lower wages before it's all said and done. Hell, what does this ever changing contract have over the personal policy guide at Delta? The sCO workers have no job security this contract will provide it 96 percent are protected. The snake charmer wants you to believe otherwise.
I have my girls to think about and piles of Bills this deal is one Im voting for and Im happy to vote for it
I'm voting yes. To get my retro and industry leading pay and job security.
Kev you should know by now all these IAM AGCs and GL officials are all talk-like you said of Roach being "all hat and no cattle". He makes a serious charge against Tim but can't provide any examples or counterpoints.
Josh
Has he denied it? He can't
you must work at a hub then
oh nevermind you're some IAM lackey getting paid by the rest of us.
So what is it Nelson is suppose to flip to? supporting this contract? I highly doubt that
A different prospective................... Your " I want my Retro $$ " will be paying for your medical. Look at it how you want.
Now isnt the time for politics but having 2 opposition tickets doesnt really make a whole lot of sense. As the previous ta's including the current ua has already made many of our members realize the current iam141 eboard provides no distinction from management and has failed. For those members who prefer new leadership, a unified opposition makes "good sense'. There fore egos, including mine, had to be checked at the door and i am supporting the idea of one unified ticket. What that means is that i have decided to run with karen and then support her for president in 2016. For me personally, ive realized we need the current bunch out of office and although i realized that back in 2011 when i confronted delaney about screwing over his members by abolishing ua talks, ta1 and ta2 have certainly confirmed for me that the current officers need to be voted out.
tsI'm sCO. Not sUA, so I only get status quo from all of this. We always had high medical.
