Why I Voted Yes

No one has given me one reason a NO VOTE will BENIFIT me more than a YES VOTE !
1. A yes vote will get me a 15% raise over 5 years, a no vote won't.
2. A yes vote will get me a 5.5 % 401k match, a no vote won't.
3. A yes vote will cause my deductibles to be lower than a no vote.
4. A yes vote will open the wages after 36 months for a comparison check with other airlines and bring us to the averge with no nagociations, a no vote won't.
5. Last and foremost a yes vote will keep 1600 more of my UNION BROTHERS and SISTERS EMPLOYED !
I have 27 years, i'm not scared of loosing my job today. But i am not willing to vote my union brothers and sisters jobs away to be outsourced. I don't understand a NO VOTE under these circumstances.

Like I said on a different thread show me where in the contract it says we are saving jobs. You can just tell me what page it is on and I will look it up. The 1600 figure has got to be somewhere and I just missed it.

VOTE YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After thinking about it if we vote yes 3 years down the road when tulsa is 1/3 the size it is today when we open negotiations we can make tulsa 100% osm's and everyone will be happy.

It would be easier to get the AMFA in for sure! That's the main motive for most of the "no vote" posters here on this board anyway. The line guys are tired of being held back by the OH guys. Greed and Fear are great motivators. The no voters have embraced both. They don't have a problem with thousands of family's losing their livlihoods so they can make the same money as a UPS line mechanic. Hell, one of the AMFA mouth pieces is even Praying for a no vote and he's not even a mechanic.... figure that one out.... Yeah.... Amen brother! Yeah.... God bless you... Please....

You make a good point Strake. The NO voters want to eliminate as much push back as possible so they can swoop in with the other end of the "stink pickle" and feed it to who's left. The No Voters, at least here, love the AMFA idea and the only way to get a shot at AA is to get rid of as many as they can from Tulsa...... :angry2:

Line guys voting NO so they can outnumber Tulsa? This crapola LBO is bad for both groups. The increase in the ASM ratio could be a killer for the Line and the outsourcing increase is a killer for OH. Nobody knows how many small line stations will become Eagle and hub gates will be lost because of that.
To say that Line guys are voting NO at the expense of OH is inaccurate. As hard as it is to swallow, the industry doesn't support $23 seat/coffee maker mechanics and $32 overhaul mechanics in the numbers AA has. The union and the company have agreed to save those jobs at the expense of the line guys despite what the other majors did in BK.

A Line mechanic getting UPS pay is a stretch right now, but so is making $5 an hour less than a United Line mechanic. Nothing personal but when you see the saving jobs for pay claim how can anyone deny it?

There are those who are inclined to vote YES, and those inclined to vote No, for their own personal reasons. I respect that. It's the vote No AMFA group who are using the vote No strategy in an attempt to destabilize the AMT's so they can pick up a few more cards toward an election since they're falling short of cards. If you think they care about the Ovhl group, you're kidding yourself.

Be careful what you ask for, you may get it. (Does NWA-AMFA ring a bell?)

You act like you have leverage. When you vote no the contract does not remain status quo. Quite the opposite, AA will impose changes regardless of your willingness to "give it up" because it will be taken. Do you not think that AA will push as hard as they can to outsource as much as possible while we are trying to set up the next session with the NMB? Line is capped at 15% outsourcing under the TA but no cap under the term sheet. Outsourcing of BC's to Menzies or F&E is on its way. With all those out of work AMTs from AA layoffs they will be looking for new jobs. AAR can hire them on to do BC's at DFW, MIA, ORD, LAX, and JFK. I am sure Danny Martinez is ready to take that work on and offer ex-AA AMTs new jobs.

You guys did not think this through did you. AA is ready for M&E just like they were with FSC and Del Valle taking the cabin cleaning jobs. Of course you can blame the Int'l for that too. You asked for it and now you're going to get it.

You sound defeated here,

Do you already know something about the vote count that we do not know?
