Hey 757fixer
B)

In case you haven't noticed. Mr. 70 doesn't let the fact get in the way. He makes it up as he goes along or if it fits his agenda. :)
You're statements are a complete lie, show me where I have made something up.

WOW - I am shocked -- 700 is calling gonzo out ??? How can that be when 700 doesn't have the backbone to say who he is??? Where ever did you find any nerve, real brave when no one knows who you are.

Awa Contract,

Go read US Airways' Business and Ethics policy, it prohibits you from saying you are a US Airways employee in the Internet, but we have told you this before.

What kind of ibt rep are you if you want someone to violate company rules and get themselves disciplined?

I feel sorry for your members if you encourage them to get in trouble.

we are still under two different certificates, I AM STILL AMERICA WEST

and I only asked YOU. So the question stands where is your backbone??

Here's a good example Mr. 70. Awa doesn't fall under any of the Old US Airway "business and ethics policies". You know this very well but you still push it as the truth.
:)

Ok.......I apologize for picking on the "disillusioned", but I have to say this....... Real Men are Teamsters. You know I had to say that delldude.

So you want me to willingly violate corporate policy and subject myself to discipline?

A real trade unionist would never put a member in harm's way.

Guess you just showed what kind of reps the ibt have.

the vast majority of very close to retirement IAM mechanics cannot and willnot change unions this late in their respective careers.they have nothing to gain by aligning with IBT at this stage of the game.you going to get them a better retirement after 2009 when their contract is open for neg's??
hell over half will be gone by then.

Hey Dell what are you trying to say? is it that your older guys that are getting close to retirement don't want a better retirement? your IAM gave away your pension in bk. and you 401 match sucks worst than ours at least we get .50 on the doller up to 6%. how much do you get again? and the teamsers are trying for a pension with the teamsters pension fund. and if we can't get it through our current neg. what do think the IAM will do get your old pension back, I think the days of the old airline pensions are gone look whats happening to all the other airlines the courts are letting them do away with them. so in closing I would think the guys that are close to retirement would rather have a shot of something better now than wait 4 years from the end of this year to even get started on a contract that could drag out for at least 3 years, we are allready over 2 years into our talks now and your going to deal with these same people they don't do fast contracts!

The pension was not given away a bankruptcy judge terminated it, the members had no say in what happened to it.

Don't let the facts get in your way.

Like I said your pension is GONE and our 401k is better than what you have left, and you did vote on that didn't you mr 700 so check your facts. it seems every thing you claim is so great of your contract really sucks dosn't and your stuck with that wonderful contract that you voted on til the end of 2009.

No the pension termination was not voted on, it was done by Judge Mitchell prior to any contract vote.

We have a 401k with a company match and a company defined contribution plan still. And the terminated pension was taken over by the PBGC and the current and future retirees who particpated in the plan will still get benefits, which will be reduced.

What kind of retirement do you get at HP if you don't participate in the 401k?

Better check your facts.

So how many HP mechs perform overhaul?

Are they working at Timco in Macon, GA or Aeroman in San Salvador, El Salvador?
