Wow! I actually support something the MEC has done.
That was an amazing read.
I hope you are not referring the above case. If so, you guys are screwed more than you seem to realize.I now understand there is a legal precedent to support the US Airways pilot's position.

Charlie, the only thing that docket entry seems to indicate is that East paid a filing fee of $120.00, thant a status hearing is set for early October and that it also filed some form of Motion regarding the arbitration.
If the docket entry is full and complete it indicates that the sole defendant is the AWA MEC, which frankly doesn't currently make sense because what has the AWA MEC done to East other then win an arbitration?
The text of the Complaint will be required to see what the heck East hopes to gain, but this looks curious and also, preliminarilly, provides no basis for ALPA to not act and accept the arbitration award.
"Upheaval"? "Blow"?
ALPA national has a responsability to difuse the situation so that the airline still operates as best as can be expected under the situation.
National cannot drop the hammer until the rage has turned into resignation and acceptance of their fate. B)
Sorry I misunderstood.I was not referring to some supposed upheaval that would be caused at ALPA. I was reffering to the operation of USAir. ALPA national has a responsability to difuse the situation so that the airline still operates as best as can be expected under the situation.
Sorry I misunderstood.
But now I am even more confused. ALPA National has some sort of greater responsibility than do the East pilots to ensure smooth operations at LCC?
Has anyone seen a posted copy of the Complaint yet?
Er, OK . . . But what does that have to do with your earlier point about ALPA's responsibility to defuse the situation at LCC?ALPA is nothing more than a political manipulative body that works to keep the status qou, by keeping people content and willing to work because there is hope. And they reap the rewards for doing so. (no you won't read that anywhere in their charter )
Doubt it? Read the EC decision just posted. They keep talking out of every side of their mouth to keep the natives from getting restless.
