Uneaten food in DFW

You blew it with the rejection of the 2010 Agreement. You can fabricate all kinds of reasons why your VOTE NO campaign was the way to go, but your crystal ball prophecy that AA would never file for bankruptcy was the beginning of the end. Blame everyone but yourself, and I agree there is a lot of blame to go around, but don't think for a minute that you didn't contribute to the problem because you did.
You're still hung up with the 2010 agreement? You don't think that would have suffered the same fate in BK?

The vote NO know nothing, is now saying the APFA should not accept 4% raise. They have cost us a lot of money over the YEARS, and now we will have to wait more years because they know better. What a bunch of fools. I wonder if the APFA leadership ever asked the advice of any twu official, if they did ask, the APFA probably did the opposite.

Thanks for the 4% raise DP, if my union ever gets its act together. Hopefully with AMFA and without these know nothing's involved with negotiations.

Why is it the people don't see this painfully obvious scenario. The restore and more chants have long since died off, none of it came to pass except that which he said would never happen, BK. Then he goes on to blame the legal system for that. Well we are working in the framework of that system and until it changes we have to abide by it. The decision to shoot down 2010 has cost the members untold money and benefits. It wasn't a perfect agreement but all one needs to do is look to the MCTs and how they are doing to see, it was a good deal at the time and the fools didn't recognize it.

Now thew fools are out to derail the association, stop any progress with worthless letters to the NMB, give the members false beliefs and hold up any progress on an agreement, while the rest of the company enjoys the fruits of the merger.  Our impotent leaders of Local 591 sit back and let stations languish, like Dallas, soon there will be even more of a price to pay for their inability to lead correctly and they will find someone else to blame, most likely Mishak, whom they've openly thrown under the bus.  The fools inability to have discussions with M&E management is having a cost and the membership will continue to feel the squeeze.

All the while to foolish membership fails to adapt and overcome, instead, they choose to believe in idiots that have no business holding the keys to the members futures. They throw grenades in the room and walk away, while the membership is in the room with management, things like don't eat the food accomplished what? Not working OT accomplished what?

Enjoy your Merry Christmas today. Next years will hold lots of pain for those without enough time.

The "restore and more" mentality is a foolish one. Even if they were to write us each a check  for $250,000, that still would not atone for the missed payments of bills, mortgages and other loans. It still would not make up for the "lesser" birthday gifts and Christmases. It would not make up for default and probable home foreclosures.

But having said this, what do you expect to get from the company IF and WHEN "our" turn comes up for negotiations?
They think so ill of some of us that they chose not top give us the 4% raise for a successful 2014.

Maintenance has, is and always will be looked at as a necessary evil. A huge expense to any airline.
Add in the TWU and or IAM into the mix, you should face the possibility that the mechanics will not be treated as "fairly" as other work groups.

Kirby said everyone will get the 4% additional raise when we get JCBA. It will just take our unions or nmb to reach a decision.

So the pilots contract is for six years and no profit sharing...what would Bob say about that?

Well said. Nice to know theres more then bob is a genius fan club out there.

The failed 2010 TA was divisive at best.  The MCTs are a much smaller group that negotiates independantly from the AMTs - not unlike the Sim Techs or Dispatchers.  Much easier to give them more perks and money without too much hoopla from the rest.  Would we have more money? Yes. However, the thought of having those devious douche bags from the International engineering that contract, to cater to just enough of the membership to pass - still pisses me off.

If you're suggesting supporting this JCBA, then you would be the first AMT I've heard say they did besides the Overspeeds and the like.

Again I ask...What if negotiations take years...Will it be retro or date of signing?

The sad part is that because of this 4%, those who do support the JCBA might be too eager to vote for another industry LOSING contract.

Too early to say that, as we have not seen anything yet.

Sit down and relax it typically takes the twu and the iam 3 to 5 years to negotiate a contract. Until then do what they tell you I.A.W....

I laugh when people complain about leadership, but won't dare spend a minute in their shoes.

Really? By listening to some of  the posts here, it seems an industry leading contract +4% is imminent!
