TWU-IAM Finally Getting Ready for JCBA Negotiations

On 10/29/14 the NMB made this authorization of election for the UA dispatchers

https://storage.googleapis.com/dakota-dev-content/42-NMB-No.-3-Authorization-of-election.pdf

This was after they made a decision on single carrier status on 9/10/14 where they essentially stated the same thing they did today for AA, giving any intervenor 30 days, so , I would say we have 30 days for any intervenor starting today.

I would also say, there is nothing in stone that says the Association will get placed on the ballot.
On the contrary, it's a stretch, at least according to their own rules.

However, with today's determination of craft and class and the board running roughshod over previous precedent, even recent decisions, anything can happen.

The dissenting board member today wrote 9 scathing pages about how the rest of the board was basically making up rules as they go on placing the Sym Techs in Mech and Related class and craft and totally disregarding their signed cards for a new election.

I would say there are three determinations forthcoming and each one will have a paragraph titled

AUTHORIZATION OF ELECTION

And that paragraph will establish Who will be on the ballot.

M&R outnumbers Fleet! WTH?

As of August 1, 2014, TWU represented approximately 11,349 employees in the Mechanics and Related Employees craft or class, approximately 9,079 employees in the Fleet Service Employees craft or class, and approximately 1,209 employees in the Stock and Stores Employees craft or class at American. As of August 1, 2014, IAM represented approximately 4,854 employees in the Mechanics and Related Employees craft or class, 6,507 employees in the Fleet Service Employees craft or class, and approximately 139 employees in the Stock and Stores craft or class at US Airways.

The dissenting board member did the same thing in the dispatchers case. Called out the rest of the board...... They are all corrupt. The board placed a wo year restriction on the dispatchers. Thy can not have a card drive for two years.

I read the nmb decision or more like skimmed through it. I believe they said your cards were tainted? Is this correct?

Yeah, they said that, but without any evidence. That's what the dissenting board member called them out on. He called bs on them just like in the a association decision.

I believe THIS determination is referring to the new cases..

It isn't - The NMB is not going to do an investigation, name a representative, AND THEN ask if there are any intervenors

Your 30 day clock is ticking - if you or any others truly believe otherwise I'd advise you to contact the NMB or have your representative(s) contact the NMB - its a simple clarification that should take no time at all for them to give.

Everybody that just got lumped into the M & R group at AA needs to sign an AMFA authorization card.  AMFA cards were being signed left and right today at DFW.  Say No to the IAM & TWU, or any combination of them - Vote AMFA for true democracy, and transparency in negotiations!

Too little and waaaaaaay too late. Should have started last September, not with 30 days on the clock.

Been encouraging you guys to start the card process for months...and you choose now?

You couldn't get AA signed up, even with 50 years of trying, now suddenly you expect to get cards from 50% of the combined workforces? Hilarious. You have no shot.

You couldn't get 6000 AMFA cards signed in the recent past, what makes you think you can get over 8,000 cards signed now that you need to deal with the combined numbers of TWU & IAM.

That's funny. You wasted 8 months on conspiracy theories instead of working on getting cards signed. Now you think they can get all those cards in less than 30 days? Hilarious.
