TWU Conference call

Learn to spell and communicate without the playground name calling because otherwise you are an embarrasment to us all and detremental to the "save the profession" agenda.
I see that you coomunicate by using the same playground languag also. I have never stated that mi spelling was purfect,but mi inability to spell at times can be corrected unlike the ability to correct your character flaws. You stated once that you were leaving these boards and not coming back PROMISES PROMISES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please respond after your next prozac kicks in. Remeber wheat grass and prozac do not mex. Oh and since you are filling in for Charlie Browns teacher don't forget to check my spelling and enjoy your Wa Wa Wa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
There are no valid reasons to keep the TWU as your representative as informer has already pointed out they have always came bsck with sellouts and this will continue until we remove them, I can see that you have finally seen them for what they are now understand all this line vs overhaul thing being spread at ORD and here on this board is simply another way for them to maintain power nothing more. So lets put this thing to bed and stop all the attacks on each other and focus them where they should be on the TWU!!

Finally as a guy who has worked at both line and overhaul and have many friends at both places let me say this I find that there are legitimate grievances from both sides but none so large they could not be resolved fairly if we came togther as a group, in the end we must unite agaisnt our common enemy or suffer the consequences of not doing so.

You're right, there are few reasons to keep the TWU, but AMP is on the clock to provide me valid reasons to choose AMP. It's pretty obvious that after 8 years of brutal concessions, and 3 years of NOTHING, that if we're going to replace the TWU it better be with an agent/organization that has a very good track record of achieving POSITIVE results for the client/US. Unfortunately for AMP, it doesn't have a track record, and your a new kid on the block. People get a little nervous with a NEW kid or agent handling their affairs. I'm just a little tentative with AMP. Not to say your intentions are in the right places, but at this point in the ballgame we need a true veteran to manipulate and cheat, and pull out all the stops to get US positive end results......Money!!!!!!!!! Reduced out-of-pocket expenses!!!!!!! Vacations!!!!!!! 100% Sick Time!!!!!

At this point in AMP's selling job.....I still haven't heard how your going to do this? All I've heard is.....we need to get rid of the TWU....first. What's next?

What your telling us is.....get rid of the TWU, and then we'll figure out what's next. I'm not sold on that idea. What I need to hear is.....get rid of the TWU because AMP has done this XXXXX for other clients in the past. You obviously can't do this because there are no past clients. The only alternative is to seek out an agent/organization that has a proven track record. Besides AMFA, I can't think of one. Help me out here? Please sell AMP to me?

The bottom line is that other independent unions such as the apa and the apfa have done this at AA and other airlines. It can be done here and be sucessiful as long as you start saying that we can do this and not talking about bullshit reasons that we cannot do this. If you want control of your future as you have stated in the past get your ass in gear and start doing somthing. You can't do it on your own but you can do your job at your station and the rest of us will do the same at our stations. The unknown is not a reason to stick your head in a hole. Fear is somthing that the twu and the company rely on. With the years of service that you have in,you should have known that. I don't mean to sound harsh, but I am sick and tired of the bitching and wining of people that complain about the twu,but find excuses not to kick their lousey asses off the property. Get your ass and your coworkers asses in gear and start collecting cards. On a lighter note I am sure that I will have a teacher correcting my spelling. Their will be bonus points if you can find my misspelled words.

I hesitate to answer this but the truth is you are asking me to explain battered wife syndrome they know the next beating is coming yet the refuse to leave out of fear of the unknown having said that I will offer a few points.

1 We have based AMP on a proven winner the APA constitution it has stood since 1963, at the time they left ALPA it was one of the best unions in the country yet they left and thrived without ALPA.

2 We have hired the same law firm that helped the pilots break away from ALPA and in my opinion one of the best in the country if you seek to start your own union, in just the last few years they helped the US Air pilots breakaway from ALPA and have become the representative of the NBA referees.

3 We have all that is required to represent ourselfs we have money and lawyers there are many among us with the skills to lead and I see no reason we cannot be successful if we put our collective minds to it.

4 You will find no union in the country that will fight harder for us than we will fight for ourselves when it is your ass on the line you will find away to make it happen.

Finally you should know that what you seek does not exist your choices are do nothing and settle for whatever the TWU gives you or join AMFA because as far as I know they or the only independent out there that will come in, or start your own union in this case AMP you can wish for more options but those are it, the choice is yours. I made mine, by the way as I posted earler we came to ORD but you did not show what gives the trip up there was your idea.

I was in training school last week. Sorry I missed your meeting, but got well informed by Joe B.

I've also made up my mind to get rid of the TWU, that's why I signed a card.

Some other posts suggested that I get involved in the movement. Don't get wrong, I will help out the best I could, but in stealth mode. Sometimes I walk around with a bullseye on my back because people take offense when you tell them the truth. I'm not a dealmaker, and sometimes straight as an arrow, and lots of people don't always agree with that theory. I'll just leave it there.
