Tell us more about this unity we should have while the line AMT's are bashing the OH AMT's and blaming them for the results of failed union policy and weak union leadership. Blame all you want. I've gotten the Tulsa shaft for the last 20 years! So please don't tell me about people looking out for themselves at the expense of others. Tulsa threw US down the river when SRP's, and OSM's flooded the company.

We are way past UNITY. How can you expect unity when we have guys making their own DEALS with management, and we have guys calling HR just because I didn't greet him correctly? Give me a break!

Are we any closer to an agreement after the TWU replaced the previous negotiating team with our current team, and Bob Owens? I don't think so! Maybe, just maybe it's time to install a militant group? problem is....I'm having a hard time finding someone with BALLS!

What is crazy is that now the so-called smart and intelligent are the union men advocating this step be taken because of personal greed. All this shows me is that unionism at American Airlines is finished, even the best union men I know of on the property are now advocates of something other than majority rule. That my friend is "Game/Set/Match", and isn't just the TWU/AA allaiance that is winning if we continue in that direction. But what the hell, we have allowed the our union to lead the industry in a reverse direction for years while blaming everyone else, we may as well lead the entire labor movement into destruction too.

Why don't you have the balls to say what you all believe? And that is that "majority rule unionism" is something you can no longer tolerate. That you want a shot at minority rule unionism as long as the outcome means more for you personally. Go ahead destroy organized labor with a new brand of unionism. I can just see the workers of the United States ringing the phone off the wall to belong to such a union.

Last I checked a union is a majority rule organization. If the majority is from Tulsa then of course Tulsa will dictate passage or failure. It is only those of you that don't approve of the majority rule outocme that seem to want a minority rule system that suits your needs.

I am all for getting rid of TWU, but I have no interest to a conversion of a "union" that would bend the structure to circumvent majority rule. Thus, No Organzing from me this round.

I signed an AMP card, and helped Joe get some cards signed......and now I'm still waiting on AMP to hold an election. If you expect me to rally around AMP or go around and condemn the TWU......those days are over!!!!!!!!!

OH is the majority for now......Tulsa & the TWU keep giving AA excuses to venture over to Outsourcing OH or Insource cheap help......real smart! Line will eventually be the majority.

Let's face reality....do you really believe AA will pay OH $40 per hour without some sort of concessions i.e. more non-licensed helpers.....or working 7 day coverage or a percentage increase in farm outs.
Maybe people don't know the definition of Casualties. I can read between the lines....Brundage said there will be casualties. To me it means outsourcing OH. Only time will tell.

The Line has finally drawn a line in the sand and is standing up to the 800LB gorilla, and it's not about YOU only. We see the earnings potential by witnessing WN, UPS & Fed Ex catapulting to $50 an hour, and I want the same. Yes, this time around it's about ME.

Look, I sit here and get beat up on this forum for saying that we should be a "band of brothers" or bring up the issue about Line vs. OH, but let's face reality WE are a dysfunctional group of skilled workers in a labor organization that has dysfunctional leaders. The TWU is a business, but it's supposed to be in the business of representing the members, not in the business of representing it's own interest.....collecting dues.
I'm not a math wiz, but someone needs to figure out the wage & benefit increases the TWU has gotten the members over 20 years as compared to the dues collection over those 20 years. Now compare the intl wage increase over 20 years as compared to it's members. This is the main reason the TWU needs to be replaced. We need a labor organization that will represent US. I just don't know if AMP is the answer?
