The history of the TWU in negotiations:
1) AA remains silent while the TWU spins what an agreement actually means;
2) The TWU International puts the proposed CBA to a vote of the affected membership;
3) The TWU Membership apporves what they thought was a contract, but was just an agreement in principle;
4) The TWU and AA meet to write contractual language for the just approved agreement in principle;
5) A TWU Local files a grievance over the interpretation of the agreement in principle;
6) The TWU International either takes over the grievance or allows the individual local to wallow in the interpretation of what the TWU International signed off on versus what was presented to the membership as their CBA;
7) The Arbitrator rules in favor of the company and everyone on the Union side cries foul and, "We'll Get'em Next Time."
8) The TWU and AA meet, shake hands and continue the ruse.
Now we are to believe that the TWU actually wants to go head to head with the same organization from whom they have suckled since 1983? Release from negotiations in one of the worst labor climates since the Great Depression?
Spare me folks; the new CBA is in the can and both AA and the TWU are just waiting for the appropriate time to open the new whoop a$$ "CONTRIBUTIONS" we'll be required to make for the good of the cause.
