TWU and the Company reached a Tentative Agreement

I think the AMTs of AA think differently. We have been the leader of industry bottom of the barrel contracts for a decade now !
You obviously have no idea what you are talking about. Not surprised. Do you know what the ARSA is?

And the July 2010 TA was not bottom of the barrel. We would be making $37/hour already plus a raise which is higher than UA/CO. Yep, you are the smart guy.

Vote no! Red you are lost and swallowed Owens BS hook, line, and sinker. He will get top pay one day while you are picking up your government cheese.

It would seem that an attack on AMFA has some correlation with our T/A? I can't seem to figure what it is but Overspeed and RealityChk seem to want to attack AMFA because we gave a T/A.

As for the 787's, I am not to sure that a lot of the work won't be done in a foreign country.

The Airbus, well maybe the new plant in Alabama can pick up that work.

Who knows how the company will try to screw you next maybe Eagle will fly the Airbus with the elimanation
of the eagle limits and the system protection gratiously given from the TWU.

Gotta love how the TWU will fight like hell without any language protection in a CBA.

Isn't eagle maintence TWU? Dues will still flow their way.

A320s at AE? Not if the APA deal goes through.

In today's USA Today Parker is taking his fight public. He is quoted as saying he wants the merger now. If we give the company this contract we are putting money in their pocket. The company's team is quoted as saying they are done with this. I say we are done with them. With no contract the creditors will move for a merger, lessening the money they will going out the door with. I say we will wait for Parker and his boys. Will it be any better? It just won't be this group of pocket pickers.
Parker and Horton are old AMR alums. Parker is no white knight, they both want to swing the big deal on their own terms and we are nothing but pieces in high stakes game of Monopoly.

"In the mid-1980s, they were freshly minted M.B.A.s who became friends while working at AMR Corp.'s American Airlines in its golden era."

"Messrs. Horton and Parker arrived at AMR when it was flying high and recruiting dozens of bright graduates into its finance department every year."

Read on brother. Early opener in 4 years after DOS. That means you get a 12% raise plus the wage adjustment to industry average and we can negotiate then. That will be after AA has started receiving the lions share of their new fleet. We should be in excellent position to get top wages at that time. AA will be well out of BK and yes, we should have the lowest maintenance costs due to our newer fleet.

Of course you could vote no, have the contract abrogated, try to negotiate while the NMB waits to set a date to start talks (which will be new negotiations which could take another 3 to 4 years), and have 1.5% per year until we get a new deal.

The Vote No Until We Get A Better Deal Strategy is killing us.

As new Aricraft Arrive and your scope clause allows 35% outsource there will not be anyone left in overhaul to make that pay. This is the same trap the 28% outsource cap had a Northwest. You witnessed that event happen, and to this day you blame AMFA for it, and now you advocate voting yes on the same idea and same plan except it is a 7% worse on the cap of outsourcing work. There is NO SCOPE in %'s with new aricraft coming. Scope must in the form of Job Security protection in hard headcount numbers. Why are you all blind to what is about to happen? Your tulsa base headcount is going to get decimated over the 3-4 years and you have already watched the exact same thing happen at another airline.

In essence you have allowed outsource of massive amounts of work in exchange for POTENTIAL pay increases that might be a raise in 36 months which completely in the hands of other carriers, one of which might not even exist in 36 months (USAir), which is what you are always bashing AMFA about.

Tell me exaclty how many heads will be in Tulsa making that Industry Averaged wage rate and awaiting the early opener?
Tell us HOW MANY HEADS?

And there you go with your almighty TWU language protection.

Which union do we belong to the APA or the TWU?
The TWU of course. Show me a M&R contract that requires the parent company to have all aircraft work performed by one subsidiary's staff?

Early openers? Now that funny. Didn't we have that over four years ago.

stupido=hopeless

Yep and we had a deal that put us at number 2 in industry pay ahead of UA, CO, DL, and US. Voted it down remember because we were going to get a better deal. BK is just a threat remember?
