Okay last one because I'm very tired now and going to sleep. You will absolutely be getting higher wages come September and that is 100% guaranteed. (Industry Averaging) After that you will be getting more through the JCBA because Parker has made it very clear that he wants to pay industry leading wages and he proved that by going 96 Million over the "ceiling" in the new APFA TA. (Read their updates) Pilots are up next and we can be right after that is we stop futzing around.
Will you reach SWA rates without major outsourcing, NO. Will you be making what they make at UPS and FEDEX, NO. It's all about economics and competition. If you want me to explain that I'll do it tomorrow?
In the meantime have a nice night.
So Parker is going to pay industry leading wages SO WHAT HAPPENED TO THE IAM CONTRACT WITH A TOTAL BOTTOM OF THE AIRLINES PAY SCALE AT US AIRWAYS
..

THE IAM PUT THAT BS CONTACT TO US AIRWAYS WITH THE COMPANY MAKING RECORD PROFFIT'S.

AND THIS IS THE BEST THEY COULD PUT IN FRONT OF THE AMT'S..

You boys can just bet they are going to sell you out for that BS IAMNPF AND YOUR PAY IS GOING TO BE THE BOTTOM OF THE AIRLINES PAY SCALES.

THE IAM TRACK RECORD OF BOTTOM OF THE INDUSTRY PAY SCALE WILL NOT BE TARNISHED.

He called AMFA a "raider organization" and is critical of AMFA's strategy in its dispute with Northwest. "They make this out to be a grand labor struggle, when it is merely a company trying to survive," he said. He's especially critical of AMFA's leadership for not asking members to vote on proposal in mid-August to preserve 2,750 mechanics jobs and provide as much as 26 weeks' severance pay and medical benefits for cleaners, custodians and mechanics who would have been laid off. He thinks the rank and file would have accepted that deal. When negotiations last broke down Sept. 11, Northwest had reduced its offer to saving only 1,080 jobs and only 16 weeks of severance. "I did not believe that the AMFA did right by its members in terms of legitimately negotiating," Hurley said. "We never got the option to vote."

All due respect, Hurley is a terrible foundation to build any argument on. Same w/the d-bag whose name escapes me that cited not being able to have groceries delivered as his reason for crossing.

Hurley also had his kids turn hoses on his own former coworkers.

I don't know who the individual members were and who are and did what Kev? Individuals can decide for themselves if each person was a hero or a goat? What the man did say though is that they weren't even given the chance to vote and decide for themselves what there next move was going to be? It was decided for them.

AMFA was in complete isolation, true to its long standing philosophy of "going it alone." AMFA proceeded to strike Northwest Airlines without taking a strike vote, putting Northwest's last best offer to a vote or having a strike fund. Northwest's final offer, albeit a tough pill to swallow, contained job protection for 2,700 mechanics, two weeks of severance pay for each year of service (max 26 weeks) and included company medical benefits for 26 weeks for those members subject to a reduction. AMFA members never got to vote of this offer, or two subsequent offers.

The resolution to the strike was a complete surrender by a beaten AMFA. The agreement placed every striking member on layoff status with a severance payment of one week per year (max 5 weeks). AMFA agreed to a "No Retribution, Retaliation or Harassment Due to Participation or Non-Participation in the Strike or Permanent Replacement Status." In short, the scabs kept their jobs while the strikers lost theirs. AMFA Northwest mechanics were reduced to about 500 scabs, most of whom were laid off before the "suicide strike."

After the merger with Delta, AMFA extinguished their certification with no fight at all.

I believe that was another general chair named Golofski. Also a scab. I knew both of them personally. Both are vermin. Both were IAM "leaders" who led the charge across the picket line as scabs. The IAM was full of them at that time.

We did get a vote. I had my ballot and voted to strike. There was no reason to bring that garbage offer back to us. We were not going to vote to eliminate our own job.

"Northwest mechanics vote to authorize strike

By Associated Press

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. - Northwest Airlines' mechanics, cleaners and custodians voted overwhelmingly to authorize a strike against the nation's fourth-largest airline, union leaders said Saturday.

Members of the Airline Mechanics Fraternal Association voted 96 percent in favor of authorizing job actions, including a full-scale strike, the union said.

"This group is prepared to go on strike and to fight for what they know are their economic rights," said Steve MacFarlane, president of AMFA Local 33.

He refused to disclose the vote totals and results on two other ballot questions concerning the scale of the possible strike.

"We would just as soon leave Northwest Airlines guessing as to what we're going to do on March 11," MacFarlane said.

Representatives of Northwest and the union will meet Wednesday with the National Mediation Board in Washington. A 30-day cooling off period ends at midnight March 12.

Northwest's senior vice president for labor relations, Robert Brodin, said the union won't be legally free to strike or stage other job actions until mid-May at the earliest.

"The strike vote by AMFA was not unexpected and is part of the normal bargaining process as negotiations reach the latter stages," Brodin said. "We want to assure our customers that regardless of the vote, Northwest Airlines will continue to fly a full schedule."

President Bush said last month that if the dispute were not settled by the March 12 deadline he would further delay any job action for 60 days by appointing a presidential emergency board to look at the issues and propose a solution.

MacFarlane noted that Bush hasn't done that yet, and speculated that Bush may be rethinking his decision to step in.

Pay issues are the biggest problem. While Northwest says it has offered an industry-leading wage package, MacFarlane said it wouldn't make up for pay cuts employees took in 1993 to help keep Northwest out of bankruptcy."

So WeAAsles is lying in his posted quote. That article he linked is full of nothing but half truths and lies. It sounds like it is written by the RTW club. Posting stuff from the IAM about our AMFA strike is like using Josh to support organized labor. They have zero credibility after crossing my picket line and doing my work.

If you don't know what happened then don't try and use it as your excuse to support the pathetic IAM scab union. We have discussed this ad nauseam here. Feel free to use the search function if you want reread it all.

I am done with it and have moved on to a much better career.

I post the information I find and if you can prove that the source of that piece of information is or was not credible with linked proof then I won't argue it. I didn't work for NWA so I absolutely would concede to those who did and the proof they can show.

Can you tell me if other areas of that posting are incorrect with linked proof?
