If you knew where that came from you would see it has been answered numerous times, and I have called Tim out numerous times to post what he is accusing me of and yet he wont, because he is lying.

I respect your opinions but I do not agree with them. I believe that UNIONS have gotten too involved in politics, and that is what has become their downfall.
IMO, they're not involved enough. The last couple of decades have seen most of labor leadership lazily attach an endorsement to anyone with a "D" after their name, and that's that. No grassroots activism, no (real) push for any meaningful change to laws or legislation, no building alliances with others who may share similar interests, and so on.

The UNION leadership is no longer focused on representing the membership, they are only interested in enriching themselves and gaining political power.
Agreed, though I have seen quite a bit of positive change in the last few years. That's energizing, and gives me hope.

You think I am anti UNION. That is simply not true, I just think UNIONS have lost their way. As long as UNION leaders favor politics over memberships the problem will never be fixed.
So then the question becomes; what are you doing (or are willing to do) to fix it? Are you interested in turning this ship around, or not? We need all hands on deck...

Back to the Topic. Does anyone have any solid info on how (if one happens) a vote will play out.
My thinking, if it is a vote for/against the alliance and it gets voted down we are still represented by our respective union and labor agreement then there will need to be an election for who represents the whole.

Have heard the local 514 leaders are stating No Alliance No Contract company does what they please but their fear tactics are covered in another thread.

Again only solid info please the last couple of pages in this topic are a waste of time reading!

I do not have solid info as you referred too, but we talked about this at work with a few good union guys. In conversation they said that we have a contractual agreement and if the union voluntarily decides to put itself in a situation of being decertified the contract still is enforced until the expiration date or a new contract is agreed upon however that will play out. It seems to make sense because if changing unions or representation the contract is still in force even thought the TWU negotiated it. The legal implications of a union negotiating a contract and then saying good buy and walking out the door has got to be huge. The question is who is legally responsible to administer the contract? The TWU? Do we have a choice to pick new representation? I agree we need a union because that is the American culture here before most of us were born. This reminds me of the scare tactics years back when we were collecting AMFA cards and Tulsa was being told that if we change unions we lose our contract. Totally false and I believe the same tactic is being used again. Now I am sure 700UW will comment by saying and I will quote " Are you that stupid" or his other favorite one "Elitist".

Glad to see you are worried about me and have to bring me into every post.

Good, what is his name?
Before I vote, I would like to know who wrote it.

"I know you have questions about what happens next. We are ready to begin the process of aligning pay, benefits and work rules, and producing a single seniority list as quickly as possible," said Gil West, senior vice president – Airport Customer Service, in a memo to employees. "The actual date when we can begin this transition will largely depend on whether the IAM respects your decision or chooses to file interference claims. We believe the IAM has no basis for filing interference, but if they do, we will not be in a position to align pay, benefits and work rules until the final resolution of representation is achieved. I know you're ready to move forward and we are urging the IAM to respect your choice."

It's insane to think you would still have a collective bargaining agreement if you are no longer a part of a collective. YES anyone who thinks otherwise IS that stupid.

Now IF there is another Union option on the ballot and you vote for them you would keep your former CBA until in our case a JCBA can be negotiated.

But if you vote NO UNION and it passes you are now an "At Will" employee subject to whatever pay, benefits and work rules the COMPANY decides to give you?

The things that can disappear:
Seniority
Automatic pay rates and dates
Grievance procedures
Fairness
ANYTHING the company feels like.

And 700 that letter was from Delta Airlines itself. I didn't write it. If they don't want to look at the absolute fact in writing then they should get someone else to feed and tie their shoes for them because they are beyond clueless.

The Alliance Agreement?? So what is this individuals capacity in all of this, is he with organized labor or the NMB?

If the alliance files for SCS and no other organizations get their names on the ballot there will be only two voting choices.

TWU/IAM Association
No Union

Period.
