TUL mechs

Just found the video and although he does say in Tulsa he also preceded it with statements such as "we are evaluating our future needs".

Thanks for the heads up AA Tulsa.

At US the narrowbody Airbus get a C1 through a C12, then every 5 1/2 to 6 years, depending on when the bird was built it gets and S-Check which is all the C1 through C12 checks done at once and then a little more added.

Is that work done in CLT?

Heavies although it will be a few years until we work those.
Unless a change in wording to our Acticle 2A through a JCBA, and PIT and CLT lose the Airbus work and it goes you guys in TUL.

Maybe Seymour has seen "the writing on the wall".

Not true, if they close PIT an CLT US cant layoff unless there is a change in the language, but if there is a change it doesnt mean TUL will get the work, depends on the language and you do realize TUL only got a two year clause for not closing.  And AA can farmout 35% of the whole maintenance budget and AA can even exceed that cap.

Exactly why you need AMFA asap!

And what will AMFA do?

You do realize AMFA represented carriers have the highest outsourcing if aircraft maintenance especially overhaul?

You do know AMFA couldnt stop Alaska from shutting down the OAK maintenance base, laid off all the mechanics there and farmed out all heavy maintenance?

You do know that WN has around 700 planes and only has four lines of heavy maintenance and outsources more maintenance than any other carrier?

You do know what happened at NW?

You do know that the IAM lost the pension for the Continental guys years ago,

You do know that the IAM Had no plan when it took the Eastern guys out on strike.

You do know that the IAM let eastern take our prefered stock away

You do know that the IAM gave into the TWU at TWA

You do know the IAM while representing TWA did not get anything for yrs for its members while under Carl Ichan?

You do know that the IAM lost so much at USAirways right?

You know the IAM lost so much of the UAL guys money with the ESOP program.

You do know that the IAM scabbed at NWA?

You do know that the IAM did not protect my EAL pension either?

So as you can see any union can have bad times while companies profit.
The airline industry is a very volitile industry and those of us who have been around have seen it all and felt the pain each time it happened.

Your not an airline employee or represented by the IAM, so why do you care what we the mechanics do at the new AA.?

We want a vote, here at AA If we fall on our faces that will be on us. You should not have any say since it does not effect you in any way.

You do know CO was in chapter 11 bankruptcy when the M&R had their pension terminated right?

You do know when that happened there was no section 1113 and Unionized Workers had no protection under the law?

You do know that every CBA in Chapter 11 before 1113 was just treated as a regular contract, just like a contract with a vendor?

The IAM had a plan, and ALPA and the TWU also went on strike with the IAM.

You do realize the Lorenzo is the only man in the US that is banned from running or owning an airline?

You did vote on any changes at ET on your CBA.

You do realize that AMFA had no plan and no strike fund.

You do know the IAM secured the members' pensions at TW with liens on engines and other parts?

You do realize TW was bleeding for years and the IAM along with ALPA kept TW in business right?

You do realize that UA filed chapter 11 and voided that stock?

Hey what happened to the AMFA represented mechanics at NW's Stock?

And you do realize the AMFA was the bargaining unit when UA stock was terminated?

And there you go again, trying to silence anyone that doesnt agree with you.

And yes it does effect me, as my son's mother is in the class and craft at US.

Why do you constantly try to silence anyone who doesnt agree with you?

You do understand the concept of a message board right?
