Wow...I've been on this earth 50 years, and I did not realize that Jews were not Christians. Thanks for clearing that up.

I think a lot of good Christians would do well to try a little more of our Lord's grace and patience, as they seem greatly lacking of it here on earth.

Until we are transformed each and everyone one, you're correct. Being a "good" Christian accounts for nothing.

Interesting point that I'd like to build on. If you actually read the parts of the Bible where Jesus is speaking directly you'll take note he is less concerned with sin but held a pretty constant drumbeat against hypocrisy.

Throwing the money lenders from the temple was one example of many. The blatant hypocrisy of both parties is an afront to anyone who has actually taken the time to actually read the bible.

In fact, he is concerned, notably, about certain kinds of hypocrisy... religious hypocrisy is a constant theme. Many of his parables are about the Pharisees, etc. This is akin to advocating, on the outside, a high moral bar, but it is simply a superficial facade; inside is as wretched (if not worse) as the very people they are supposedly leading. That can be applied in a wide variety of circumstances to a wide variety or people. Many of our politicians are susceptible to leading such a "pharisee-type" life.

After looking back at the response to your post, I do see the way I posed my answer was confusing. It did appear that I was saying that youtube was not a good source.

And, yes I am wrong at times.

When I am, I do try and learn from my mistakes and do better the next time.
