700, Where is the rest of this letter as it ends with an open statement and comma? I think it is too late to charge the teamsters at US for forgery just because of "how they responded" to the actuations at AA of forgery. But one thing that is very telling is the fact that Travis does not deny any wrong doing by the teamsters but simply says it's too little too late as the election is already more than half way over at US. It actually speaks volumes to the charges of possible forgeries at US. I read it as he knows about the forgeries but declares that it is too little too late to 700 for posting it. 700, is there more to that letter? If so please post the entire letter.

Tim It's OK we are use to MISREPRESENTATION Out Of The IAM!!! LMAO
No one at the IAM is misrepresenting anyone, that would be the IBT, how come the IBT broke its agreement with its members in 2005 at CO and imposed concessions on them?

Shall I post the letter again, that showed it?

Why dont the PMUA M&R have a pension when it was promised to them by the ibt?

Shall I go on?

Ok. Thx. Read it in full. Have a question. Is the NMB allowed to withhold election results until the investigation of forgery is completed, provided, the NMB starts an investigation at US? And, could the NMB (even after election is completed) induce a null and void termination of the teamsters/US election on the basis of forgery, if they find evidence of such, and never release the results? Or is it too late for the NMB to stop or cancel the election since they have already approved for the election to go thru? When these allegations first came up at AA I did some research but found nothing that describes what would, can and will happen if forged cards are collected and forgery or fraudulent was found to base the approval of an election. I am assuming the IAM knows what the next steps are, and that there really is a chance to have the election thrown out or eliminated due to not enough cards collected after re-tally of forged cards, otherwise I don't think they would have sent the letter to the NMB. I guess time will tell. Good luck to the IAM on their last and final attempt to not have an election.

Could Forgery Charge at American Hurt Teamsters' US Airways Raid?

Ted Reed

08/01/13 - 06:45 AM EDT
CHARLOTTE (TheStreet) -- As the Teamsters union tries to simultaneously raid mechanics at two airlines, charges of forgery have tainted its effort at American (AAMRQ.PK) and could influence an ongoing election at US Airways (LCC).
Late Wednesday, the International Association of Machinists released a letter it had written to the National Mediation Board, which asks the board to investigate whether the International Brotherhood of Teamsters submitted forged US Airways cards as well as forged American Airlines cards.

In the American effort, the Transport Workers Union, which currently represents the roughly 11,000 American mechanics and related workers, has charged that the IBT forgedsome of the signatures it submitted in support of an election. For the NMB to authorize a union election, a union must submit signed cards from 50% plus one of the bargaining unit members.

The Teamsters submitted American cards to the NMB on May 28, but two months later no election has been scheduled. On Tuesday, the union asked the NMB to give it until Aug. 23 to respond to the TWU charges.

At US Airways, Teamsters submitted cards on May 7 and an election was scheduled a month later. About 4,500 mechanics and related workers began voting July 8. Results will be tabulated Aug. 12.

In the letter, the IAM's attorney encouraged the board to closely investigate any authorization cards submitted on behalf of 425 furloughed US Airways mechanics and related employees. "In its own campaign efforts, the IAM has been unable to contact many furloughees at their last known address," the letter said. "Submission of cards purportedly from these furloughees would be suspect."

The IAM said "It bears emphasis that the Teamsters have not denied any of the factual allegations made by the TWU declarants." The TWU had submitted affidavits from two paid Teamster organizers attesting to the forged signatures. A Teamster spokesman could not be immediately reached late Wednesday to comment on the letter.

Earlier, Larry Ocheltree, a US Airways mechanic and a supporter of the Teamster's organizing effort, said "We were hoping to hear that the NMB had certified the AA election before our vote was over, but it makes no difference. I believe 90% of (those) who were going to vote have already voted."

Regarding the forgery allegations, Ocheltree said "the NMB is checking on this as it does with any allegations, but at this time the allegations have not been found to be credible." In an e-mail, David Bourne, director of the Teamsters Airline Division, called the charges of forgery "desperation tactics by two unions that failed to provide the strong representation these workers want and deserve."

Bill Wise, president of IAM Local 1725 in Charlotte, said the relative timing of two elections gives the Teamsters no choice but to delay. "They have delay and to keep delaying because they don't want the answer coming out before we're done voting," he said.

Wise said he has doubted the IBT has enough cards to force an election at American ever since the union declined to say how many signatures it had when it announced that it had filed. "Their silence said it all," Wise said. "They don't have enough signatures."

Teamsters are really after the larger bargaining unit at American and "they are trying to use us to get it," Wise said. "They don't care about our retirement or our seniority, or our contract. What they want is American."

Of course, both sides predict victory. Wise said members are being swayed by the IAM's superior pension plan and by the realization that joining a new union would further delay contract talks.

Ocheltree said: "Our guys want the change from the company union to an employee union. The IAM is trying to do what they do best -- scare, threaten, lie and intimidate the members into voting for them. If they spent as much time representing us as they do trying to retain us we would not be having this election."

THIS SAID IT ALL AS FOR THE IAM MISREPRESENTATION AT US AIRWAYS.

I know Larry and worked with him.

He is a POS, Overtime/road trip scammer who was an amfa elitist and now is one with the ibt.

The IBT SAID:
"We deny any wrongdoing or knowledge of wrongdoing in the campaign by American Airlines mechanics and related workers to achieve Teamsters representation," Bourne said. "TWU is desperately trying to maintain a membership that is no longer interested in its concessionary, failed representation.
"The NMB is conducting its routine eligibility verification process and we trust its findings will finally clear the way for the workers at American Airlines to choose new, strong representation," he said. "Our focus has always been and remains achieving the highest standards and protections for aircraft mechanics and related workers."
The TWU Said To The NMB :
“While our declarations did not directly witness the commission of the forgeries, they were alerted to this misconduct by fellow organizers and other staff who either witnessed the misconduct or were made aware of it,”TWU told NMB.

I was told they had a smoking gun?
What happened?

Did They tell AMFA to load it and some how it FAILED to fire! Go Figure.

Also, the whole video is a lie. The pilots at united didnt get retro. If the iam ever put 4 truthful words together they would be alot better off

He said she said? Travis get a freakin clue!! The teamsters have been caught red handed at AA for forgeries of cards. Now the IAM is protesting on the idea that they too have possible forgeries and all you can say is "he said, she said" blah, blah, blah. And let's see, what was your other statement; Hmmm, thinking; oh yea "TOO LITTLE TOO LATE" You still are not refuting the idea behind forgeries at US. Matter fact your statements simply show that you are aware of the forgeries, but continue to dodge, spin and twist. You are truly an original teamster at work, just like all the other crooked teamsters. You are one of a kind Travis, and just as pathetic. Keep posting, your doing a great job supporting the teamsters... LMFAO!

Well the pilots got $400 million of something, thats for certain.

Pilot payday
United completed a new labor contract with its pilots last year. The pilot agreement boosted pay by an average of 43.2%, but also included a $400 million lump sum payment: roughly $40,000 per pilot. Including other costs, the ratification of the agreement led United to take a $475 million charge last year. The primary justification for the lump sum payments is that they represent retroactive pay; in other words, they make up for raises that employees would have received while negotiations were occurring.
