My guess is if it happens, it will be after the 777 pay out. I think we are waiting to see how many bail after they the pay out. Not sure if they will train before the holidays or not. I would guess not.

But I'm willing to stick my neck out here and say I do think there will be a recall before the holidays. It may not get into TWA people, but it will assure that by next spring or early summer some of us will be back.

My God! I do hope most of you furloughs had found something else to do by now instead of waiting for the skies to open up and hope for a recall, or is it really that hard to find a job these days (especially a job which pays more than an AA Flight Attendant's )???

If not and since you're willing to stick your NECK out, I heard there's a lot of openings for truck drivers in Iraq. Pay is a lot more but with less BS than with AA.

Is the mean spiritness really necessary? So...some of us want our jobs back. I flew for a long time. And yes it is hard to find a job that you like and that has decent pay...maybe you should try it.

Hey coldplay - at least you have your name right - at least it labels your personality! Sad that you were never taught kindness ........ (or must be your poor learning skills)>

I elected not to work during this time. Hope you enjoy your flights, delays, etc. I will be sitting around the fireplace with my family enjoying the warmth, sharing, and kindness. Can't wait for Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays with my family!

Mikey - I think he went back under the desk. He is not going to be at the counting today. He can't face the membership knowing that he leaves office after putting this career back 35 years.
Or maybe he is trying to guard any other ballots that may demonstrate a need to carry him away in cuffs!

oh sure, just because you think I'm being mean, it must be because I'm "uneducated" or I'm lacking tact and finesse. nice one.

hey if you elected not to work, then good for you, enjoy yourself. and I'm not afraid to be at work during the holidays...who said "WORK" has to be easy anyway? if it was easy then it wouldn't be called "work" now, would it? I'll bet you'll even be happier when you know that there are millions out there slaving away at the same time to make sure you have a good life, while you "enjoy" yourself. And you actually can't compare yourself to those "nasty greedy CEOs", who'll probably be doing the same thing you're doing during the holidays...oh no, that would not be the same thing right, because you consider yourself a working stiff but on extended vacation right? yeah right. so who's the mean spirited and uneducated one?

so now I get it...if "work" does not come easy for you then it's a bad thing. I guess that explains your choice to just sit around and wait for something "good" to fall on your lap. And I'll bet you spend a lot on lottery tickets too.

yes, some furloughs are waiting to get back into a job they love, but in the meantime what do they do? I'm sorry but I guess I have more pride & dignity in getting into something else, in the meantime especially if I've been out of work for more than 6 months, instead of waiting for a goose to lay a golden egg.

may sound mean-spirited to you guys but that's your problem. You'd rather live in a fantasy world where everything comes to you in a silver platter and without having to lift a finger than live in reality where, oh my god gasp, you have to "work"!!!! oh the horror!!

Do these ramblings make sense to anyone? All this writing in an attempt to compare a person on furlough to someone who is junior and has to work on the holiday.

Good god was there a point in this hog wash any where? Is there a possibly your medication is off, has our prescription drug plan failed to deliver on time this month.

Here is some advice for you next time you have to ramble on about god knows what. Think out what you want to say Type it. Read it over. Spell check it. Read it again. Highlight it. Now push the delete key and power machine off.

LOL! Mikey - I like the following that you said:

Mikey - you have a great sense of humor. You have missed your calling. You made me laugh again. Thanks.

Hey Mr. Coldplay:

You know for the last year I have assisted hundreds of our 4,200 f/a's in a program called TWA f/a Resources funded by our f/a's and other outside sources. We have raised thousands of dollars to assist OUR f/a's in need of emergency assistance.

If you think that furloughed f/a's are sitting on their arse...you sir are dead wrong. We have f/a's who are seriously ill with cobra running out, we have f/as who have kids with medical problems, we have f/a's working minimum wage jobs and still cannot make ends meet, we have f/a's who have gone through their hard earned savings. I hope you never have to walk in our shoes.

We asked the Wings foundation for assistance for our f/a's and we were denied. So much for welcoming us into the fold. We were told that you must be active to receive assistance. So guess what? Through hard work and fund raising we are helping our own with no thanks to APFA or AA.

Early on in the furlough we had one sucide and we have had others make attempts. Fortunatly through the vigilance of our members and our unity we watch out for each other. Obviously, that is not part of the AAf/a culture. Look at your industry lousy voting record. It's apparent at AA it's every man or woman for himself and screw the rest.

Our f/a's are NOT sitting at home waiting for recall. They are beating the pavement daily looking for employment. If only JW had not given away furlough pay a little of that money would had gone a long way.

As treasurer of the WE-CARE Resources I can assure you that we are assisting our f/a's with basic living issues including employment, housing, child care, counseling and encouragement.

Believe me none of us are waiting for the "silver platter." Our care for each other and our Unity speak volumes. I guess you have seen that exhibited from the TWA'ers.

So I guess I am going to sit here and await recall while I <we> help our brothers and sisters.

BTW: Coldplay is a very befitting name you use.

maybe if you and mikey would stop a second from doing your "John ward has been defeated" lapdances on each other, maybe it'd make sense to both of you.

all i asked was if it was really that hard for the furloughs to find some type of work IN THE INTERIM instead of waiting for some manna from heaven to fall on their laps. Waiting around for years for a recall and NOT doing anything else in the meantime is ridiculous. I can't believe that there's nothing out there to do that would pay a lot better than AA (hence the truck driver jobs in Iraq tip, the pay is a lot more and with a lot less BS than being an AA FA). Saying "I love the job so that's why I'm waiting" is not a good reason to just sit and DO NOTHING. You might as well have 13 kids with different dads and wait for a welfare check if you've been furloughed for over a year and have not bothered to look for something INTERIMl.

If you guys found that meanspirited that's your problem, it was not meant to be. I was not expecting to be jumped on by some people who, in their delirious state of ectasy over the ballot count win of Tommie, took it as a slam on furloughs.

btw it's "WHATEVER YOU'RE taking..." and not "What Ever Your taking....", it makes a lot more sense.
