Just wondering Borescope, at what point did you decide to become a bootlicker for the man? You were one tough talking tough guy, what happened, go into management or own stock in NWA like our friend Rapture.

No he has to rationalize his submission to concessions by trying to tear down those who decided to fight.
I have no doubt that with the close call at AA and the AMFA wins at UAL and SWA that one thing that the other unions and the airlines could agree upon, along with concessions that is, was that AMFA must be stopped.
The last thing the airline industry wanted was for all the mechanics to end up in AMFA. They may not like the other unions but they know that they can get what they want from them. Sometimes all it takes is channelling a few million $ to the right union officials.
Look at how things went down over the last few years.
USAIR- mechanics were the only group to reject concessions prior to BK, everyone else voted YES right away.
Continental mechanics start card drive for AMFA.
UAL- Mechanics were the only group to reject concessions prior to concessions.
AA-Flight attendants reject concessions because they belived the mechanics were going to vote NO.
The mechanics vote was tainted. The company the union hired failed to send out 3000 ballots to mostly senior Crew Chiefs, (Anne McNamara, a senior AA executive sat on the board of the company hired to do the ballotting). The Crew Chief were more likely to vote NO. Those who did get ballots were given pin numbers that were sequential and anyone who had the pin could change the vote. Despite this, and the huge fear campaign of the TWU International the vote only passed by around 700 votes. The vast majority the yes votes came from the overhaul bases at Tulsa and MCI. It would have been very easy for the International to take the seniority list and figure out the pins and change a few thousand votes to YES without anyone knowing.
AA mechanics file for representational election after collecting 9700 cards, the company, TWU and NMB conspire to prevent a vote by including 3000 extra people who are not mechanics, some never even worked for the company and many were dead.
NWA- Mechanics reject concessions. Every other group accepts them.
Its clear that the point of all this is not just directed at NWA AMFA members but ALL aircraft mechanics. Its a joint effort by the industry and the other airline unions to try and crush our expectations for a fair salary and to have us all unite under one union.
If we had all been in one union then more than likely the concessions wave for mechanics would have stopped at USAIR.
