Ramp Rat Voting results second update

It sounds to me like you've been riding cross country with astronaut Lisa Nowak............... This is not some political agenda, it's about the livelyhood of American workers trying to sustain a lifestyle that
was better than thier parents. It's not about the international worker, it's about us right here on American soil. It's about feeding your kids and sending them to college so they don't have to work for the Doug Parkers of the world like we do. I don't know if your a westie or eastie, but the fight is on.
Parker has to realize we have a binding contract and we won't extend or open it up for mere pennies.
He apeases the workers by grilling hotdogs for them at the sandcaslte or hosting icecream socials.
West and east should come together, let the union know and the company, we want to share in the profabilty of a company we saved three years ago. If wages are too high, maybe the home office should evaluate the management, we all know, they're paid more than thier worth. Look at the stats, work on merit not the good ole boy system. Bonono's gone will Kirby be next? Can't wait to see what the company response is going to be, makes me wunder what Valerie Wunder will release to the press.
Remember............... it's our future and we have just begun, with this vote, to chart our course.

Amen brother!

now maybe the IAM will quit being yes men for the company

I would want one of you to go up their and participate in negotiations and actually see how difficult it actually is.

I know I was there for the M&R during Chapter 11, the second time.

Easier to get blood from a stone.

I can't see how your group agreed to give away an entire classification.
That was trade unionism at its worst.
The (GO AWAY) bonus was less than if you went on unemployment.
Many of my good friends suffered because of those negotiations.
Was the money good for you?

And 700UW

I Ain't Skeered to Represent With Dignity

Where can I sign up to be first in line?

I'd go in a heartbeat! Do I need a formal invitation, or do I just crash the party? I know I would have the ramp's best interests at heart. I detest what the iam has done to us. I know the company had a part in it, but the iam didn't have to agree to it. There are so many things that could make it better for us that the iam and company have no idea about. I would bring those things to light, for they wouldn't cost the company any money. Some would even save the company money, which could help them in sweetening the pot for us financially without coming out of their pockets too much.

I'm ready to go whenever I get the invite to negotiations!

I hear this all the time and now it's time to have the company reps go back after a meeting with the IAM and say "I can't believe how tough these guys negotiate. They're not like the old negotiators at all. They won't give up anything and are DEMANDING increases in pay and benefits. Before it was easy. We refused to give them anything, demanded they give back and we got an agreement. I guess since we're not in BK anymore and rolling in the dough it won't be so easy. It's tough when these guys decide to stand up for the membership and actually earn what they're getting paid. I'm gonna need some headache medicine and a drink or 12. Let's go ....you're driving Dougie."

The money was no good for him either..............the author was in the classification that was eliminated.
What the IAM loyalist won't do is a work action. Slow down is a word that was removed from Webster's.
If the company fails to move on negotiations, then why doesn't the union flex it's
muscle? When the ramp was courted for the fleet service rep. election, this was touted continously.
STRENGTH IN NUMBERS..............What a shame...right 700

Ah once again you think you know so much.

Go ask the Utility that work in the PIT and CLT Hangars who are there about the classification being eliminated.

Line Utility was outsourced.

The M&R NC never reached an agreement with the company, it was a final offer ratified after the judge abrogated the CBA.

And our group during the 30 day cooling off period did work by the book, currently the membership lacks the gonads to work by the book, they voted in a piece of crap final offer and have to live with the results. I for one voted know and moved on.

Don't let the facts get in your way, and I was a Stock Clerk when I left US, I was Utility during Negotiations.

Im not sure, but my interpretation is:
1. Thousands of Utility are gone but we still have a couple to sweep the hanger.

2. The M&R never reached an agreement with the company , This speaks to his ineffective negotiating skills

3. He voted know, took the payoff, and ran.

Distorted facts won't easily fool me.

To moderators:

can you give me a clarification. I may be wrong but I was told that one ramp thread per week or something like that. If that is so, can you censor 700 from posting unrelated M&R stuff about things that happened 6 years ago? This thread was about voting, and there are more votes to report, however, 700 has 'polluted the thread' with goofy babble regarding things that 700 can't seem to get over. In other words, can you get this thread back on topic for us instead of having 700 repeat himself painfully over things that happened to him years ago?

To 700: can you kindly start a new thread about how you retired or quit as a stock clerk but was the head negotiator for the cleaners? I don't think anyone here wants to hear your continued dribble about how you were larger than life in the negotiations room.

regards,
