prefunding estimate is back! the hard sale is back!

NOPE, my duty is not to a committee but to the members especially when the vote is done by the weighted Roll call vote.
You act as if the membership is the opposing party.

Look at how screwed up this whole thing is, a guy gets 500 votes in a Local with 6000 members yet he can vote as if he got 6000 votes and outvote leaders that in total recieved more votes than he did. So if that guy decides he is in favor of a deal then according to you we should all simply roll over on our beliefs and support him?

Then there's the Committee. There are 8 guys from Title II, two of them arent even from Title II, they are Fleet Service Clerks, and another guy no longer holds an elected position as he was voted out by his members months ago, but he is still there, between the 8 of them they represent less than 2000 Title II guys, 6 Line maintence guys representing around 3500 guys, AFW and Tulsa. In the meantime the International uses numbers for the Roll call from 2007, many line stations have seen significant growth over THE LAST 5 YEARS, especially Miami and Dallas but in the Roll Call they do not count, but the hundreds of guys that are no longer in Tulsa do count, even though Tulsa has gone through two election cycles since that number was set. So what did the company do? They threw a few crumbs at Tulsa and a few crumbs at Title II. They've convinced some at Tulsa that they should compare themselves to TIMCO and this industry as whole does not treat Facilities very good so the "Committee" by roll call just to make sure votes to bring it back to the members who will vote on it. The one Line President who voted in favor has been agreeable to any concession thats come down the pike, I have no idea what his deal is but his Local probably wont exist very much longer. Despite the fact that his membership is nearly 100% ex-TWA he offered no support when I brought up the point that we should try to roll system protection up so these guys are covered as well.

Then you turn around and say that even though we believe that this will ruin our chances of restoring our profession within our lifetime, pushed through by a Committee of Fleet service clerks and non-A&Ps who are afraid every time the company says BOO that the rest of us should support it? You are one strange fellow with even stranger preconceptions on what this whole thing called Unionism is all about.

From what I was told the Roll Call was not needed and not called for by 514, there were enought committee votes to bring it back....

Speaking of integrity. You were on the negotiating committee right? The committee voted to bring this TA back to the membership right? Once that vote is made isn't it your duty as a committee member to support the decision of the committee and set aside your differences? Your actions so far say alot about your INTEGRITY....just saying

hss,

You must have the boys in the international staining their skivies laughing with this post of yours. Bob and the other Presidents who aren't afraid of listening to the membership voted NO on this old t/a but you want him to promote a yes vote? Well all I can say is you can go back to your handler and report that you did as instructed... you prooved that you are not an AMT or a person with integrity.

Hey I'm only showing there are options if this TA is voted in that won't be available if rejeted. Showing "potential totals" with what I'm reading in the book not claiming they should be audited for accuracy.....If you vote for the TA and can't stand it any longer you have an option, take the money and run.....

Or they can vote no & keep fighting & you will get the opportunity to fight with them or quit, just pointing out the obvious, pretty sure their not going to vote yes because it works for you ..... LOL Do you really think your making progress on getting them to change their minds ?? B)

Wrong Ken, I'm exactly what you model yourself from as an AMT, I'm a Charlie Taylor..... B)

The no voting presidents are not succeeding in getting a better deal but a worse one. In an earlier post Bob cried about we should at least be getting what UA got. Funny thing though is that we already had what UA got and more. Great job vote no coalition.

Fact is that we WILL get shafted in BK court. Lane will abrogate and we WILL have the term sheet imposed on us by AA. That being said we will be bargaining from an even worse position with over 40% of our work now able to be outsourced. Don't think AA won't back off that position in the future. In the new Section 6 discussions AA will start the process over and expect we may get released by what 2014? In the meantime a merger will probably already be here and we will have an abrogated agreement to work from.

Ken where is your integrity? Give back the $500! Call out the ARSA on their quest to have more low wage MROs licensed around the world. Kick Sarah MacLeod out of your club house.

Nope not really, but I am stirring their minds and making them think about their choice....Isn't it cool :p

Hmmm I kind of doubt your making them think about their choice, sounds like their minds are pretty made up, its the guys at the base who you really need to work on if you want it to pass, I'm not sure how it will go but i'm thinking it will be close.
My real issue is I don't have much faith in Hewitt to negotiate anything better, he doesn't impress me much, we need some professional negotiators negotiating not some wannabe.

My work is already done for those I represent. They will pass it, I guarrantee it.... B)

LOL..be sure and remind them of this if it passes and implementation begins.

I can see the celebration video being made at Local 514 and you would be the keynote speaker.

Make yourself a sign a stand on the corner telling the 2,000 losing their jobs that YOU are the man.

Well then that's good for you but I am running into a lot of people in Tulsa that are saying their voting No this time so I don't know, the biggest complaint I hear is people saying that the company bluffed more than once when it keeps saying this is the last best offer etc. & the offer keeps changing, it's kind of a big joke around the base people laughing at the company not sticking to its guns & simply abrogating after we said No, once they got caught bluffing then no one believes them anymore, that's the biggest thing I hear is that no one believes the company has the guts to follow through with their plan because they keep changing the date & giving more, getting caught bluffing is never a good thing for the one who got caught, they should have stuck to their guns & went a head & abrogated then they would be taken a lot more seriously by the Unions.
