potential new f/a& customer service uniform pics on "about US"

Hey! I shop at JcPenny and Sears, but this uniforms I think were inspired from Banana Republic and Jcrew.
Khaki dockers and polo shirts? Please! That is too Southwest Airlines! Why copy them?

I vote for the following uniforms below.

I agree to a certain extent. I like the looks of the BR clothes, however something was lost in the translation to LCC. The clothes seem cheap. Maybe if they throw a couple extra bucks into the mix they can get them to look less trash-chic.

Uhhh....maybe BR 5 years ago...I don't think BR would even offer this stuff for sale...And the one's they do, some of these pieces will be marked down almost immediately because they are terrible--those zipper sweaters are so out of date I can't believe they are part of the 2006 spring collection.

uhhhh.....check their ad

I edited...those pieces that are part of the 2006 Spring Collection will be marked down very quickly. And, you won't find a pair of pleated pants at BR either--probably not even a leftover from years gone by.

Go to Banana Republic.com

It is part of their spring collection. Besides, button down oxfords are classic designs. They never go out of style.

Also, gap and jcrew have similar cuts. I'd rather wear this uniforms than the aviator shirts that we have. They look like bellhop uniforms without the ties.

Ok, not all but the majority of other airlines uniforms have colors of the company reflected in them. The clothes offered do not even remotely look like a uniform. That HORRIBLE red shirt looks like a Boy George dress untucked. That untucked shirt makes a Southwest F/A look neat. If we just relaxed the ties for customer service lets just have them untuck their shirts too. Good grief. Maybe if there was some color like the the blue or red on our a/c as part of the uniform it would be nice. Nobody could possibly be honest enough to say that passengers sitting in a gate area would even be remotely WOW'd by the crew looking like that together. Passengers and certainly crew ALWAYS check each other out and how we look. Some airline uniforms look awesome and you just look at the whole crew and think, Damn. This IS truly our chance to do something really cool. As I said in my email to the board deciding for us, "It's ok for women to look sexy and guys to look cool regardless of size". What they have offered thus far is bland, unimaginative and not very flattering at all.

You can always tell when non management posts....IT MAKES SENSE!!!!

The red shirt is gawd awful!

The scarf, good lord!

polyester and pleather.....dayum, even peoples express did better than that!

That is why when it is time to vote, make sure not to vote for the red shirt. Eek! We are not Target Employees. I heard the ground people wanted that, well they can have them just keep it away from flight attendants.

As a passenger, I have a few comments. Richard Tylor is great for Delta, I guess. I have some pairs of his shoes which are fabulous. But they are special--not for everyday! Why, because after a few hours, they hurt. They look great for a few hours. But they don't last the day. So, I can only imagine that his clothes designs are also not geared for the working person. Looking at them, I think I am correct.

These designs are horrible! Get an everyday designer who designs bridge collections for people who have to work. Get someone like Dana Buchman--she would make you woman look fabulous! I can just envision the wonderful jackets with all the colors in a beautiful pattern with 3/4 sleeves that have a cuff so everyone fits into them. Then you can have skirts, pants, jumpers (with beautiful blouses, knit tops, etc. for these last few options), dresses, etc to coordinate. The fabrics have to be durable and beautiful at the same time. I know it's possible because I see it in action!

Get Ralph Lauren for the men.

You don't deserve to look like Walmart dressed you!

Just my opinion....

Hey back off of the zipper sweater!!! I'm certainly not behind on styles and I like them. It just depends on your frame whether or not they look good on you. I do have to say that some of the shirts look like they're from H&M. Good thing I like them.

Once you buy your initial uniform when hired they can change the uniform a hundered times but you are never charged again. If they come out with optional pieces such as the Mr. Rogers sweater you see many wear you may buy it since it is not a "required" item. I wouldn't pay a dime for any of it to be honest except for maybe the mens blue shirt.

Part of if not all of the problem is they are using a uniform company and what appear to be more or less "Standard Elemnents" pieced togather and as a result you get a cheap look.

Uniform company? I thought these were whipped up on a Singer sewing machine in PHL fleet service ready room.

BUT...I still say...flat front...lol

No! The Hand Wraps and bandages for the the "Brawlers From B Concourse" where made there. You're Mistaken. :D

I stand corrected. I saw Debbie Reynolds dancing and singing in B, and assumed she was training my brethern on the singers. (dayum, I'm showing my age)
