potential new f/a& customer service uniform pics on "about US"

LOL! LOVE the 'cac-tie' and the desert camo!!
Can you imagine?
Unfortunately, we are not allowed to have a sense of humor on the job.
Remember, Stepford Stewardess'.

Cheesy, cheap, and Greyhound attire. What were they thinking ????

Certainly not crisp, clean and stylish. Come on folks...hopefully they can do better.

How about Op shorts(Ocean Pacific) and a Hawaiian shirt..and of course some Birkenstocks..aka Berkies.

That Allegheny "Newspaper" Uniform looks so busy!!!

But I can't believe this used to be Southwest!

They looked professional back then and now they wear comfortable casuals. What a change!

Regarding the red Hawaii/Caribbean Inflight shirt.... we had agents wearing their Hawaiian shirts today and someone had a red shirt that looked similar to the one in the pix, except, it was Hawaiian with pineapples and palm trees on it. It looked really nice. Wonder why they just did solid red on these? Many people would not look good with just the solid bright red, but add some details to it and it could work.
Someone printed out the pix on their computer and blew them up (although they should have blown them up  ) and laid them out on the counter in the breakroom for comments. I cant repeat most of what was said, but there were only about 3 pieces in total that had any positive comments on them. Yikes!

The Hawaiian shirts they picked out so far for Inflight look terrible, very washed out! Hawaiian shirts are supposed to be colorful and festive so they stand out, not like they been put in the wash too many times. Hopefully that shirt won't make the final cut! We need color people!

i have heard as a passenger on many usair flights the crews discussing the new uniform pictures. i have not seen the prototypes, but would like to. after evesdropping on alot of their chit chat, i have a suggestion. why not make a few uniform pieces that are tailored to a younger woman. this is the future of usair. they would like one or two pieces that they can incorporate into their uniform wardrobe that are not too old. so they basically do not look like they have no figure. i am not saying go hooters air or anything, but a few airlines do have uniform pieces that can only be purchased in smaller sizes. if you cannot fit into them, then those are not an option for you. do not take this the wrong way but....motivation to fit into a cute outfit can do wonders for a womans diet and or exercise regimen. i know i am married.

From what I understand.....the items on TheHub are scrapped and Inflight is going back to the drawing board. They got overwhelming negative feedback.

............i saw on this post that they moved my thread to...the "so called uniforms." i myself as a customer think that they are extremely unprofessional and not up to usairways standards. who chose these? did you all vote on the choices? also---just a question, if a flight attendant is on reserve, and commute to base, which i know alot do from pittsburgh (GOOD JOB STEELERS!) to philly, are they going to be required to tote that hideous hawiian shirt with them, just in case they get assigned a hawaii trip?

As far as the uniforms, they were not voted on by the agents. I understand that these were prototypes brought to US from the uniform company to see if they were headed in the right direction (which obviously they werent from what I've been hearing). If they have decided to scrap them, I'd like to see an official notice of that so everyone isnt freaking out that they're going to have to actually wear these things. We've come a long way (everyone) and I think bright colorful (with taste) clothing for work would be great. Enough of the depressing, dull grey stuff. Make US stand out. Song and B6 both did this with their uniforms. So should we.
