Phl Employees

I can tell you about 15 or 20 p/t FSA's are going to have to quit MDA with the new bid that was posted. The last bid was mostly all night work, which was great because obviously people who work part time have other day jobs or go to school, because $7.73 an hour for 20 hours a week isn't gonna cut it. Now the latest shift on the bid coming up is 1400-2000. They're basically shooting themselves in the foot. Management was alerted, but they really don't seem to care. Right now they're changing managers/directors every 3 weeks. There are really a lot of hard-working p/timers too, some of which can do the work of 3 other fsa's that don't even show up for flights. It's really kind of depressing and is sort of bringing employee morale down, because even the majority of the full timers don't want to see anyone go. So unless some people can modify their schedule, you'll know why there are some cargo/baggage delays within the next few weeks.

A family member went through philly this past friday night and did not get bags till sunday. Agent said that 100's for bags were in philly and that philly bags were a mess. He also went so far as to blame it on the possibility of more salery cuts...

Any real truth out there?

Many PHL flights into west coast citys are missing half their bags...Customers getting more irate by the day. Talked to a Capt last night off Phl flight that had to wait on gate almost hour to get backs loaded. He got off and looked for manager to find out about bag problems and was told by mgr that nothing can be done. Just set and wait. Couldnt find a ramp lead. This company just doesnt get it.......It's only gonna get worse by the day.

This is what happens when you don't have proper staffing.

The company has managers from other cities temporarily working in PHL. A lot of these managers have worked in PHL before, and now there are so many managers they are tripping over each other. It doesn't matter if they have a manager stand right next to every FSA for an entire shift, the job still isn't going to get done properly without more manpower. Last week a manager went to some MAA employees and asked them to work a mainline flight, but not to tell anyone that they were from MAA. This didn't go over too well with the FSA group.

Hang in there guys, in PHL. This is where we must all make a stand. This company will try all kinds of dirty tricks and try to provoke situations with you, but keep focused on your job and dont let them ride you, just to make themselves look good. They cant put a kiosk on the ramp and have the bags load themselves!

Wasn't Crellin and Paladini going to fix PHL. Didn't happen did it. Seems the problems are getting worse. I've heard 2 to 2 ½ hours wait times for baggage, 90 ramp sick calls per day. Way to go CCY..what a mess you've made.

What do you expect for a ½ million in salaries...

They're both setting at their desk's in CCY shuffling papers and scratching their heads trying to figure out who they can blame for the mess in PHL. Meanwhile, their checks keep rollin in...

No kidding...Talk about wasted money. It sure doesn't look promising.

Oh well, their set for life. Got to feel good about that.

Not......................

I also heard this while I was in the Admin office the other day. The rumor is floating around but I'm not sure if it really happened.

Heard the same thing on Saturday from a ramper that knew the super. He was beat up pretty bad by someone in a ski mask in the parking lot. Super shouldn't have said that, but come on, gangs running rampant in PHL. US needs some supers with ski mask to go out and kick real ###!

a supervisor said "you're now getting paid what you're worth"....anybody ever think that he's maybe right....not appropriate to say it but he IS right. Did he deserve to get his butt kicked? If anybody thinks so you are more screwed up than the jerk who kicked his butt...at least he had to guts to do something about it. Stupid,Stupid, Stupid...every last one of you for staying there...fighting each other, fighting the unions, fighting the customers and fighting the company. Why???????????? The truth hurts....so go hurt someone else for explaining it to you. Pathetic.
