Tim,

What you state about TWU and the MOU and SCS has been addressed and discussed in length as CB states. Worst case scenario has us still finishing section 6 talks IMO. Your NC is committed to getting a contract that the members will ratify.
I hope that the union has referred to legal advice re this. As i think about all the turns of this merger thru BK, it would be a travesty to the AA people if it went to court and the judge ruled that the TWU invalidated the MOU. Which means you know what in restitution coming from the AA membership in the TWU. Anything can happen ( Just Saying)

All that I have to say to those of you on the NC, is that if the company continues to jack us around for months on end, is that there damn well better be some retro pay involved. This crap has been going on for waaaaayyy too long already. I know it's not your fault, but unless the company has any sort of penalty and/or back pay to deal with, it will continue to benefit them as each day, month, and year passes by. Shame on the last group that sat at the table for not having any language that pertained to this stall tactic that the company has enjoyed.
I along with many others have been as patient as possible so far, but yesterday's closing of the merger really hit a final nerve for all of us. To read all of the crap about the US Pilot group getting big fat raises and a $40 MILLION dollar bonus to share just in time for the Holidays, is sickening to me and all of the others. Hell, even the BK AA Fleet guys got a raise putting them a clean $2 an hour above us. As a bear MINIMUM we should have been brought up to their level effective yesterday. I also read an article quoting Parker in the DFW paper stating that "ALL" US employees would be getting a raise following yesterdays close of the merger. Really Doug, All of us? Who the hell is he talking about. I suppose that he should have said everyone with the exception of those poor IAM represented Bastards. Then on top of that we find out that NON CONTRACT Managers will be throw a bone in Jan as the receive a few more paid holidays along with another week of vac for the more senior people. This has all become a bunch of Pathetic BS already...
What did the pilots get? Was it triggered by yesterday?

Yes they did. I think they are only upset at the payment timelines.  I can't remember the specifics but it was a lot $$. I agree WINGS. No Retro. No contract ! no SCS. I'm not about to vote yes just so i can put my money over the last few yrs back in the company Coffers

CB, how did the pizza and cake party go in CLT?
Day shift did really well, I think maybe one or two from what I heard and seen. PM shift, unfortunately quite a few drank the kool aid and ate the food. But in respect to them, our own union IMO from the grand lodge on down should have made yesterday a much bigger deal than we did. I was more disappointed with that.

Do Roach, Sito and Bufft feel concerned about the DOL investigation and possible new election with candidates like Jay Cronk and Karen Asuncion that want to end their milking of the system?

Well, I don't have respect for them. If you can't have solidarity to stave off a pizza buyout then how would you ever achieve enough people for a work action. These pukes set in the background and eat the crums management drops, they are of low self esteem, they are bottom feeder's, probably the snitch next door. Delaney and Higanbotham put out letter's but were late, I don't think the membership ever seen or read them.
If a grass roots effort to work safe is not started, you guy's might as well tell AH we'll give him a buck fifty back and see if he will except it, if he wont, then throw in another fifty cents and a weeks vacation.

Your lying again, and I proved wrong again.

On August 15, 2013, the Department entered into a voluntary compliance agreement with the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM), located in Upper Marlboro, Md., concerning the 2013 election of international officers.  The IAM agreed to conduct new nominations and a new election, if necessary, for the offices of international president, general secretary-treasurer and eight general vice presidents under OLMS supervision prior to June 2014.  The investigation disclosed that the union failed to provide notice of nomination to the membership regarding the nomination of international officers, local lodges did not provide notice of their nomination meetings to all members, and members were denied a reasonable opportunity to nominate candidates when some members were working at the time of the nomination meeting and/or endorsement vote and no alternative method of nomination was provided.  The agreement follows an investigation by the OLMS Washington District Office.

Maybe the IAM should have topped the company be feeding the membership the same day at the local or something. But wait, that would have had to come out of their pockets. The IAM needs to get a bit more creative to beat the company at their own game.

My assumption is that the iam is asking for retro at 142 and 141.
