It wld be nice to see what if any kind of thing in the proposal was given just to give us an insight as to where things are
Would it do any good to brief you on what was proposed?. It changes with every passing of paperwork across the table. Imo its better to hammer out what the NC committee considers close to final details than to wonder what is still on the table. My belief is that we are all going to have to stay tough till something comes out from the union on paper. Then and only then can we dissect good from bad and what we will be willing to give up in order to get!

Happy Thanksgiving AF Brothers/Sisters and CHEERS ! The name says AAL the pay and benefits says LCC. Your lump of coal is in the mail. STATUS QUO ! Thanks DP and NO VALUE .

I appreciate you being forthright. I also appreciate PREZ for his timely response.
I will offer my opinion on this fwiw. There are people at this hub that are starving for information. Some want people to think they are in the know and pass on bad information. By the time the misinformation has morphed, it gets so blurred that people are arguing about which version is right and then damning the IAM for their sorry negotiation skills.
But it doesn't stop there. This melting pot of a hub has people passing this misinformation to their friends across the system and it snowballs.

Where do we go to get good information? I chuckled the other day when I looked on the Union board in the break room. the safety section was up to date. The section used by the Grievance committee had a committee update letter from 2008 and a Shop Steward List from 2009. There was a Negotiation update posted above the time clock. Problem is it was someones email copied and posted so that people not on your list could have some information.

There are alot of people that go to this forum to get information. You post updates here and I know people appreciate it. This place was buzzing when this BS Tentitive was being circulated. As soon as PREZ posted his reply, everyone knew it was BS. This forum has alot of power. The fact that it is ahead of the information curve needs to be discussed.

CLT has (2) AGC's. I have not witnessed a briefing from either of these representatives since the International rep visited the station this spring. I understand Fairbanks takes part in negotiations, but Hanlow has no excuse. He has the least stations. He should be briefing when negotiation talks are happening. Just sayin'

Charlie, you have two other committee people who can brief. You have alot on your plate and people understand that, but your selective impromptu briefings are making people feel left out. I heard, just yesterday, an agent remarked that (RR) is never seen until the bi-yearly Committee election. Then it's a solid month of kissing babies. Not everyone is on your email briefing list and it should be only one of many tools utilized to keep fleet in CLT informed.

I'm not trying to call you out, but the Local, District, and the International should be in full alert mode in keeping us informed. We have not had section 6 negotiations since 1999 and we are about to merge with another union.

Nuff said.

Happy Thanksgiving
Although disclosing and sharing recent developments and proposals in ongoing contract negotiations seems to be the appropriate and transparent approach it comes with great risk. The risk that an offer on the table today is abruptly pulled from the table tomorrow by either side. The inherent risk of what is shared by reliable sources, is misinterpreted by others and developes into a complete falsehood. Information that lacks credibility and subsequently has the potential to confuse and divide the membership. Case in point... the highlight sheet being distributed in CLT and who knows where else. A piece of information that is false, meritless, deceiving to the average member and divisive. There is no room for misinformation.

The company is offering you a concessionary contract.
If true then i would expect our negotiations committee to inform us of that. A general update like saying management is offering a concessionary contract..

They have said it. They had meetings here and has been said during the business meeting also.

then it needs to be said more often, not enough people get it on a occasional briefing.

Management has gone mad if it has offered a concessionary proposal. I think our district is too nice on management and/or fearful as it was with United management.  Instead of being hopeful with each new video regarding negotiations, Delaney might ought to exchange the rainbow drawing and claiming sunny and 70, with ripping management.   What up with his videos anyways?  Cripes, he reminds me of my 6th grade science teacher who had a monotone robotic way about him.  Too businesslike and may get eaten alive like at United.

The last Negotiations session was a major disappointment. The Company did not offer a concessionary contract but fell well short of what your Negotiation team believes is acceptable. Regardless of the last session, your Negotiation team believes that it is possible that a deal can be attained. It is my belief that we will be back in negotiations by some time in January at the latest.

Prez I cant imagine that even when you folks go back that the talks will go smoothly me thinks the company wants a deal similar to ua and give up scope

not an hour ago an agent swore he heard everything on that paper going around is true, this is what we are up against.
