I understand what you are getting at Mike but a reality check is important.  My feelings are that the company will NEVER agree to a payscale that pays the IAM represented ramp more that the TWU contract.  It would be foolish to keep going on for years for an extra $1 an hour or so over what AA has.
Honest question: What item(s) would you willing to keep fighting for?

I wont be there but I hope they do, I was told over the weekend the 330 program would pick up near the holiday.

Good, I'm glad they're being cautious. the Holidays can be a stressful time and making sure the equipment is maintained safely and properly during a notoriously challenging time of the year is essential to operating a healthy airline that inspires confidence in the flying public.  I've got a lot of respect for our mechanics and they've received awards and accolades over the years for the quality and reliability of the work they do.  It's sickening to see the company refuse to recognize any of that when the time comes to negotiate benefits and compensation.  A pretty typical example of the huge amount of distance between the rhetoric of what US Airways management says and the reality of what they do.

They used to have balls, who knows maybe it will happen tomorrow. If we don't send a message, why even negotiate?

Twu met with the iam and they jointly want to approach the company about bringing laid off amr agents back instead of usair hiring new hires. The condition that parker placed on this with the previous merger was to get the iam to agree to a helping hand.
Imo, signing loa making things more seamless for the company, in any capacity, shouldnt be entertained by our leaders without first attainin an equitable ta to vote on.

At a minimum US needs to be brought to the AA payscale that US management has agreed to with TWU and no more drop dead outsourcing language.  I'm fairly contempt with everything else in our current package. The devil is in the details though, our contract needs very specific language.

The CLT Committee walked the break rooms last night. An email is being passed around this morning that represents a highlight sheet of a "tentative agreement" offered by the company. Can Charlie Brown or PREZ confirm or deny this? Why isn't this on the district website:

COMPANY OFFERED A TEN. AGREEMENT
HIGHLIGHTS ARE.
SICK PAY BACK TO 8 HRS
SIGN ON BONUS $1000.00
1 MORE WEEK VACA FOR 25 YEARS
TOP OUT 2$ AN HOUR MORE
10 HOLIDAYS WITH OPTION TO BID AS VACA
LEAD PAY 1.25 MORE AN HOUR
LONGEVITY PAY OR SHIFT DIFF .55 AN HOUR

Has anyone pondered what we would be making today if FSA were still under the "parity pay adjustment" letter in the 1999 Agreement?

What's the down side to this, what will we have to give up to keep this?

That looks like the sheet that was circulating the other day of what the negotiations committee allegedly proposed.
As far as management, im sure they would want to waive part time caps, , make only time bomb scope proposals, eliminate 69 seat aircraft clause and increase medical cost.

those things you mention are deal breakers Tim, but I suspect to many they won't be
