I work at a station with both TWU and IAM?
I mean they have designated stations to be TWU represented and IAM represented. The unions with the larger percentage of membership will represent that station

Why of course! I will be forced to pay dues and be represented by a union that legally didn't show interest in representing me.

Really?

Then explain why he went to three different law firms and was told he couldnt?

And its too late anyhow, the Association is the legal representative now, not the TWU and not the IAM.
The Association only represents the TWU/IAM international interests during contract negotiations now and in the future.

This is why so many are against the Association to begin with, there are two unions representing the same workgroups.

Im guessing this is sarcasm, but if you don't know who will represent your station after JCBA then it is here.

Just a hint!

Fact is at this point I don't care which one of the two industrial unions represent me. Like you said they are only looking out for
their own interests.  I've had no say so in the matter in the past, the present, and probably the future.

And we wonder why the IGM mentality flourishes in society nowadays.

There ya go!    But of course to people like 700, this is acceptable.

Why does Peterson keep calling for negotiations to begin? When the association can not get there **** together and that needs to be done first.

That's weak. And I've been on agency fee for years!
So you ***** and complain and you don't even have the right to vote on your CBA.

Priceless.

Listen if the actual negotiations take a couple of years I wouldnt be that suprised but even you have to admit this  infighting is unprecedented. How long did this go on with the customer service unions with US and AW ? What makes things worse is the company is flashing money saying come and get it
