Yep, if there is a way to screw this up. The association will certainly find it. The fear mongering of scope and lost jobs has already begun.
Plz say we are.going to fall for it again..

Well now It sure has been an interesting week to say the least. I`m very interested to see if this management team will stay true to it`s word on Delta+7.
I think they will. And I hope you guys do get it or more.  The question is what is the asso going to give up to get it? Read all the fine print guys, pretty sure they will off-set it from other areas of the contract. Hopefully the membership is smart enough to read the entire contents and not just look at the $$$$. Good luck to you guys.
Were also looking for UPS mechs to come to an agreement on their current nego's to see where they will end up going...

They only problem is we always get a contract with fill in the blank articles. And with this management we don't want that

In maintenance we are at about $38 an hour. To go to Delta plus 7% all inclusive with the December pay increase at Delta that would put us at $49 an hour. A $11.00 an hour increase is what we are looking at. Give it a serious thought if you think it will happen under the current union leadership we have.

We must exert pressure. I'm tired of living under a bankruptcy contract. Company is making record profits and laughing their ass off at us!

Let's force Lombardo to dissolve the association.

You mean like catch him alone in a parking lot, and threaten to curb stomp him?

Under the association constitution Lombardo can make a request. Why does he not do so? He was quoted in the beginning during his campaign he did not like the association and would argue against its existence. We should somehow write a formal letter and attach a petition with it from the members. At least we can see how he will respond. Sitting back waiting to see what this Association will do is wasting time. We are not getting younger. They already wasted over 9 months with the NMB filing while the other unions moved on with their negotiations

Here is where the provision is in the Association Constitution to terminate the agreement.

Lombardo and Virella are the key components in this equation.  What are they doing to get a proposal from the company?

The company has stated they are waiting for the Association!     What is the Association waiting for?

Every day we are losing money under the current bankruptcy agreement.

Parker said "the money will be there"     what are we waiting for?

I want to see the company proposal now and if not why?

the silence is deafening.....

jcw,
Correct. DL do a starting point BUT that DL has differences that would affect the TWU and IAM scope langauge. So what does that mean? Dropping a lot of airframe and/or engine overhaul capacity in exchange for DL+7?
You know Overspeed in the past you have used your position and or vast knowledge to at times place many of the users of this board, in a position of seeming ignorant by basically chewing them out for not researching. Perhaps this was never your intention, however I believe and of course it is my opinion that you have failed to take your own advice.

During the DFW Town Hall on 08/20/2015, Part 4 at 3:00 minutes until 5:00 minutes. Mr.Parker is speaking about the position of the company and their Negotiating Team.

Paraphrasing him, it is the team's position to take the highest paid Delta Mechanic and add 7% to that as far as wages go.

It is not the intention to recoup this 7% increase through work rule changes. We have this in our budget There are two different unions coming together and there will some differences, but we know this where we have to be.
