Maintenance backing up?

Unfortunately Joe, that will be the very excuse they need to begin the outsourcing Centrepork wants.

AMR has no intent of keeping their maintenance in country and is only waiting for the mechanics to hang themselves in order to initiate the outsourcing Horton is on record of favoring - with finance running the airline and Horton being HMFNIC of finance, guess who's going to get what they want?

Little and company will continue to be paid off by the corporation as now and the membership will be advised to take further concessions in order to keep the employment up (and the dues "contributions" steady). God forbid Little Jimmy and company take a cut in pay.

One has to wonder why AA isnt giving labor more support on the FAA Reauthorization Act.

Figure if it passed and more carriers were forced to bring more work back stateside it would give AA an even greater competitive edge. As AA gets hammered with FAA audits and oversight these Foreign facilities are allowed to use drunks, drug users, criminals and terrorists to work on US Based planes.

Sounds like a replay of the FUD from '95: Get the TWU to buy off on more unlicensed mechanics and this time include the line, toss something that looks like a bone for compensation and link it to a long term.

FAA Reauthorization passes: the overhaul bases are running full bore and you have Maintenance & Engineering as a profit center locked into another long term contract with pitiful contracts.

Exactly! But dont worry, "We will get em next time", or "You guys voted for it".

So when do you think AA will offer another VBR for AMT's ?
Maybe the line included this time ??

Finally AA is doing something sensible for there employees and giving some breathing room for its younger seniority workers.

Question !
Since the A300's are OTS does anyone know where in the system they are being stored ??

<_< -----I don't know about the A300's, but there is a pretty good size Aircraft bone yard in Roeswell.
