Machinsts To Meet With The Company

Thanks for making my point.

MDA is cheaper than Mesa,

Thus the (and did you used to call the F-28 the dutch barbie jet? ;) ) E-170's remained in House.

Outsourcing is a means to leverage lower internal costs. At a given point of economic return, it makes financial sense to keep a given function in house.

You are correct. It wouldn't surprise me if the IAM negotiated a deal to close the PIT facility. Hawk, you should know that the IAM is known for running away, especially their lack of desire to strike a deal before we entered BK.

700UW, Pitbull and others were on this website stating how they wanted to take this to the judge, guess they bit off more than they could handle. Be careful what you wish for as you might get it.

Most of my union brothers in Hangar 5 are tired of the IAM games and lack of information. We want to send a message to negotiate with the company and allow us to vote.

Industry,

We did much better with a judge than what was in the proposals. I'll state it again.

HAWK,

Answer to your question....U management is inept, and started the game..."with a race to the bottom" in labor costs. And that is why the other legacies have absolutely no choice.

Does anybody actually fly the F-28 anymore?

Ummm PB, that was only your first paycut imposed by the Judge, the process is far from over...

Amazing how all the head-in-the-sand work groups were saying that they'd 1) prefer to go before the judge and then, 2) when it got to the judge have their stellar attorneys block any 1113 motion by the company. I'd say that the Company has been scoring about a 99% success rate on this docket.

Fly Child I usually don't agree with you but this time I am with you...the media indeed with such a colorful vocabulary: epithermal, distressed, unreasonable, unfair copulation, aphorism, balanced, poverty line, clothes line and white lines on the mirror... :p

If she ends up going, you will be long go before her, that is if you are really an F/A.

700UW:

If memory serves me and it always does: You stated you knew exactly who he is, Fly Child, now you express doubt?! The only thing you express with absolute confidence is your union dribble, a man in the loop from the drenches of the sanitary truck driver to the top ranks of the inners secret workings of the mighty IAM. And you wonder why people look upon that union with distain and contempt making people of your caliber part of it, Mr. boof man himself in “the loopâ€￾, hope it makes your toes tingle….

The legacies did not start the race the LCC's did, the Legacies are doing what they need to do to compete in the new world.....
